I joined YouTube a little after that affair, but I was around during the final bout of arguing. I don't think I got too involved in it myself, but I think I did show some support to Glue during the feud.

Bumping. Apparently a group of fellows decided to recreate a portion of Sonic 06 in Unity:

I feel like the infamous Miyamoto line should be said here "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever"
no matter what they'll fix in the game it's not going to change the people's opinion about it, so there's no point in doing it (unless its only going to stay as a demo just to show what it could have been).

I guess this is more appropriate:
In all honesty, while it is true that 06 is pretty bad, I do find it intriguing how they were able to recreate it on a PC in a whole different engine.

Sonic Mania for the Nintendo Switch was shown off, it looks like you can play with Tails following you, as he did in Sonic 2 and 3:

I didn't get to play Sonic Mania at the Switch event in Apollo either but I'm sure I'd probably have it if I did get a Switch. Though I think I'll get it on Steam first.

Same here, though they've not announced the pricing yet. I'm hoping to see more of Project 2017 also, as the teaser trailer did look interesting. Of course, trailers aren't the best measure, especially with Sonic.

A good example, but not a better one.

I think it's more a rule of thumb than any sort of absolute statement.

Looking good indeed. Though I think at this point, I just want it to be released so we can go through the whole thing, this drip-feed of new levels is wearing me out a little.

And a bit of a cheeky bump. More details have been revealed about Project Sonic 2017, and Sonic Mania.
Sonic Mania has been delayed until the Summer (aww...), but they've shown off another level, and it is...Flying Battery from Sonic and Knuckles! I loved this stage (even though I tended to fall into the bottomless pits)
And Project Sonic 2017 is now called Sonic Forces. I guess they really are doing the whole Freedom Fighter thing. Also, there was some gameplay shown:
Hmm, while it's not much to form opinions on, I was under the impression that they weren't trying to do a Generations 2. Dunno about you guys, but I'm getting Generations vibes from that.
Did some further reading. It's using a new Hedgehog Engine 2, that gameplay style is one of three. And this is the logo:
And here's the main theme:

Bad Master, very bad for double posting.
On a serious note, dang it, Sonic Mania delayed? Though I do like it's collector's edition with Sonic on a classic Sega Genesis figure.

This game will also apparently mark the return of the boost formula and wisps, I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get anything in the vain of the adventure formula (since I assumed this is what they tried to do with lost world) and they gone to the safe route, but at least this means we know that the game is going to play well (at least a 3rd of it) and it's not like I have anything against it since I did have my fair share of fun with sonic colors and generations, I also like the main theme song but am a little disappointed once again that they didn't get Jun senoue to compose it, but you can say that's more of a nitpick.

I really did like Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, doesn't seem they've really done anything like that since, at least, not that I ever had seen.
