Thanks Plum and Carrot! An incredible feat I have accomplished. Well, time to move conversation towards the 100th again!

Re: TTQ: Season 99 - PluMGMK
Congratulations, Ray502! I've sent the tings you and the bonus question answerers now.
Well, I know you've stated before that you're happy to not take up hosting for the 100th season, but I'd like you to confirm again just to be completely sure.
If you do confirm, I'll put up the ruleset and open registration. Registration would be kept open for the traditional fortnight, and folks would be free to also discuss any final amendments to the ruleset.

Yes, confirming that I will give up hosting duties for the 100th. Will the 100th start once there's enough for two teams or the traditional 2 week wait?

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - REGISTRATION OPEN
Right, and with that, let's open up registration for Season 100. Provided we have enough participants at the end of the two week registration period, we will begin when the deadline passes.

Six registrants already? Nice, that should be enough to start from the get go. Keep 'em coming!

What if by the end of the registration there's an odd number of people that signed up?

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - REGISTRATION OPEN
Then I will weep and scrap the whole thing and cancel TTQ forever.
Seriously though, that's a good question. I don't want to put anyone on the sidelines, so even if it isn't ideal, I may have to have it so one team has an extra member. If that is the case, I'll rebalance the team members. While RNG will be used, ideally, I want to have it so that the total wins from each team member in a team is equal to the total wins from the other team. Or, to put it in simpler terms, members in Team A have won a total of x seasons in the past, so members in Team B should have totalled x wins also. It's highly unlikely it'll be exact, as such, the team with the lesser total will be given the extra member.
For the sake of fairness, I'll be taking into account wins in the French TTQ as well, though I think this only should apply to Inco and Harpic.

Anyways, it's actually pretty simple now that I think of it. Put the extra team member on the one that don't appear on paper, the more dominate team.
So, it seems me and Carrot will be the captains? Not sure how many of the previous seasons you count towards in deciding, and I haven't counted the French TQ wins, so I don't know if Harpic or Inco has some under their belts in recent seasons.

Whoops, I forgot you're bilingual. Though looking at the scoreboards, you're probably the one with most wins anyways, I counted 6 in total from the English quiz alone.

Me and inco probably both have like three or four wins.Master wrote:For the sake of fairness, I'll be taking into account wins in the French TTQ as well, though I think this only should apply to Inco and Harpic.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - REGISTRATION OPEN
I want to play, too!
I'll have to read up on the rules about this team business though; things have changed since the last time I did a Teensies' Quiz, it would seem!
EDIT:
I found the proposal Master wrote about the 100th TTQ; it looks good! Like the ideas put forth there.
