< took a Pokémon test : in an hour, < could only name 498 of them.
< feels like < would mostly only know the original 150, maybe some from gen2 as well but < wouldn't really know a lot of the newer ones. < really only watched the show that had the original 150, and mostly played gen 1 and 2 over and over.
Trust < : no you don't. It was <'s best generation to guess by far, but < missed at least 30 of them. And < had an hour to guess.

< says that Pirez is obviously lying, since there are only 151 Pokémon.
Problem is : the Pokémon tattooed on <'s body are #154, 156, 158, 196 and 197
HOLY FUCK, Prices are going up fast. < bought a 500GB Slim PS3 in December for £80, but < refunded it a few days ago and bought another one today because it had a faulty disc drive. THE SAME FUCKING PS3 NOW COSTS £110, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON???
Ah feck, < was hoping to get a 1st gen PS3 at some point, guess <'s stalling will be <'s downfall...
Then again, < has taken some economic shocks lately, so perhaps it's for the best since < had to deal with a lot of nonsense
Also, < would like to see this test, not cause < thinks < can do any better, but cause < wants to try regardless. <'s not a hardcore Pokenerd by any stretch, but < has <'s own past and still keeps up with the series every now and then
Why are ^ and ^^ after PS3s? (Had to edit <'s post, keep forgetting to add arrows...) All the innovation came with PS1 & PS2. < thinks PS3 was the era that everything started coming out on PC when it wasn't being gatekept as first party.
<'d be inclined to say it was more the PS4 era, when consoles started to adopt x86 as their architecture, the 360 and PS3 still had their own archs (Cell and PowerPC), and while there were a fair amount of PC ports, they both still have their own fair share of exclusives (take a lot at the clamouring for a native PC port of Sonic Unleashed that only *just* got given thanks to fan and hobbyist efforts).
More's the point though, <'s got history with the hardware, < has physical games that while < may have the capacity to emulate, even now emulation isn't always authentic or decent enough to not be as enjoyable compared to the legitimate thing. Of course these days a lot of porting and emulation efforts make things more accessible, but it ain't necessarily the be all and end all.
And to be fair, even games from the PS4 generation onward still have issues with exclusivity. The big example <'s aware of is Bloodborne, a game that hasn't even received performance patches for the more powerful consoles that can play it (PS4 Pro and PS5).

Ok, < was giving the benefit of the doubt here, but really? Are we resorting to that kind of discourse? For one taste is subjective, and for <'s taste < can think of plenty of games < has personally enjoyed on the PS3 that has never seen a port or update (LBP, Infamous are two immediate examples to come to <'s mind). Yes you can sort of play it on a modern PS5 or PC, but that's through cloud streaming if you're going the official route, or emulation (which is legally dubious and also hit and miss, although it is getting better).
< agrees with ^ a lot. < also thinks the PS MOVE is really cool. < also enjoys collecting trophies on it, which just doesn’t feel replicated by Retroachievements or Steam Achievements.
< thinks the bitterness ^^ gave me was really unnecessary. Everyone’s entitled to enjoy whatever console they like, and in whatever way the want.
Taste is indeed subjective, hence < gave <'s opinion. But < accepts what ^^ said about the PS4 era. < Believes Nintendo consoles at least offered unique functionality in post-GC hardware. < would maybe go back to PS4 to play games < already bought for that system (if < even had time to play games anymore). But PS3 is just a useless brick, many of the best titles were remastered on PS4. If < ever gets round to excavating <'s PS3, < will give away.
There's four Armored Core games < believes that are stuck on PS3 and 360. MvC3 is also stuck on PS3 and 360. < can't think of a lot of examples from the top of <'s head, < will concede, but the point <'s trying to make is ^^'s experience isn't necessarily the overarching experience. Japanese publishers in particular, < recalls, weren't so keen on releasing PC games back then.
^^ is also correct in saying that yes, there are definitely remasters that have been released for many popular games from the generation, but as < has hopefully highlighted with the above examples, popular games aren't always the games people enjoyed playing...

Gonna go a little offtopic here, but < is curious why ^ would edit the post above stating ^'s edit is in the next post, and then make another post stating this edit. Just edit the first one to state what you wanted to say, since you know how the pencil works, and now it looks as if ^ is pointing to ^self and Master instead of what < assumes is Master and Greengoop.
Edit: < understands why ^ needed to edit it though.

He just keeps on going, doesn’t he?
Edit 2: Also are we going to need to have a discussion later Greengoop?

Sorry, < double-posted by accident and so edited the top one out.
And Greengoop sorry for being an asshole when you were looking forward to playing PS3.

< wonders what the fuck ^^^ is on about. < refuses to believe ^^^ isn’t either heavily drunk, insanely fatigued or it’s someone else posting.
EDIT: Ninja’d. Thanks for making it up though curious why you had a sudden change of heart though
From <'s point of view ^ overreacted to <'s first post on this topic. But then < knows ^ is sick of hearing about people glorifying the old days. In any case < was snarky, it's just a defense mechanism so don't take it personally.
< can safely states that the PS3 is the only Sony console < does not possess (alongside the PS5 but as soon as it's worth buying < will consider it)
< can only deduce, then, that the PS3 is utter bottom, but since it never had a VR helmet designed for it, < will deem it less bottom than the virtual boy.
(in reality, < bought the Xbox 360 because <'s brother had the PS3 and we used to swap when needed)
