– The firmware on our Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscope, which I understand to be the most expensive piece of equipment in the lab, decided to conk out today.
+ When I saw the message "ComponentEnvironmentServer has stopped working" I got to deliver my "Well that's what you get for running Windows!" line.
+ A firmware update solved it…
– … Seemingly because it pulled in new versions of other dependencies, like the VC++ Runtime. So is the underlying issue fixed?
– Without knowing what caused the problem in the first place we can't know whether or not it'll happen again.

- I was made aware earlier of a sign near my area where it says "Operation Deadbolt." Locked all doors in the house as family is in town.

- Fifo, I grew up with a psychotic mother that taught me my multiplications with a charged revolver pointed at my head, I would've swop that for some rules to follow as a kid, just chill man.
- I would've liked to see the post with the swearing.

+Just found out I might be taking care of my nephew for the next two months from mon-fri, 1pm-5pm. I mean considering the nonsense last time within the family, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up falling flat again, but we'll have to see.
-Losing a lot of inspiration lately. Not good.
