Gonna answer. Not really happy, but whatever.

Q4 - What do Antitoons and Black Lums have in common?
They are both weak dark coloured enemies with the ability to fly.

I admit, it was a more vague question than I intended. The answer I was thinking of was how both Antitoons and Dark Lums would lose their eyes when defeated. Your answer does fulfil the question's criteria, so I'll accept it. And I apologise for the vagueness.
Team A:
Score: 3
Q5 - What was the first Rayman game to feature a form of multiplayer?
Team B:

Q5 - Which creature did players often confuse Jano with?

I'm not sure about being confused with, but he has the same hat as Polokus in Rayman 2.

The eyes, of course! Because Red Lums don't have eyes! Somehow failed to make that link despite the eye thing crossing my mind.
I get the feeling there may be a lore answer to this one that I can't think of. Otherwise there are the mini-Janos. I think there was a faction that called him a "fire-crab" for some reason. And there are the Janods, but I don't think there was any confusion there despite the name and broadly similar nature.

To prevent being too vague, it's to do with player's perception of the game and lore. I've edited the question to be a little more clear.

Well then it's Eig, right guys?

I've never heard of any confusion with Eig, though it would make sense considering Eig was mentioned, yet never appeared in the original versions of R2.

Rayman 2 had multiplayer bits, like the disk minigame. I suppose designer's level sharing was technically multiplayerish, kind of, but R2 for dreamcast had the first actual multiplayer as far as I know.

I assume you meant UTC? Yesterday I looked up UST, somehow Google gave me the time offset for Los Angeles, UTC-8, so I figured you referred to that timezone and missed a question because of that.

I'd say Revolution with that football minigame. What do you guys think?

Question: in the heel of the hunt, was it decided whether or not we may consult the wiki?

I think we came to the conclusion that there would be no rule against it as it can't be enforced but I can only encourage everyone to play as fairly as possible.

Yes indeed. I was just looking at an old discussion on a talk page and wondered if that might invalidate the team's answer.

Thanks to Ambi, our team is going to go with:
"Rayman 2, Dreamcast version, the first multiplayer part can be found by playing the minigame, Globox Disc.

Correct on both counts! Yup, Rayman 2 had the Disc minigame, which you could play with friends. And Eig was indeed often confused with Jano, before we had facilities like RayWiki to clear things up. Since Eig didn't feature in some versions of R2, yet the Knowledge of the World mentioned him as a creature in the Marshes of Awakening, folk assumed it referred to Jano.
I'm still in uni presently, so I can't ask a new question yet. Stay tuned!

Bugger. I'm sticking with GMT then, much more familiar.

I was about to leave this as a response also. I was one of those people who thought that Jano was called Eig. I'm not sure Jano's name is explicitly mentioned anywhere in the PC version of Rayman 2...? Also, the KotW states that Eig is a terrible monster that guards the Marshes of Awakening, so you can easily see how one would assume that Jano is that monster.
PS
Damn this has moved fast and slipped me by. I'll try to be more active!!

Master I'm loving these audio chops you're using. They're hilarious.

Rayman 2's first-person mode should definitely be advertised more, so to speak. You miss so much when you don't use it!

Jano's name appears in the Rayman 2 textures, and was probably never the official "lore" name of the character, until someone goofed and put it in R3 GBA! That's my theory anyway. But it doesn't say Eig guards the Marshes, just that he spends a lot of time there.

No worries man! By the way, you probably missed this, but I was wondering if you ever got around to playing through Legends?

Right, let's continue! And I just realised I lost track of the question number. We're past halfway through!
Team A:
Score: 4
Q6 - What neat detail at the beginning of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire sadly only featured in one version (and its ports)?
Team B:
Score: 5
Q6 - What happens if you shoot a Robot Pirate while it's midair?
You have until 8:00 24.07.2017 GMT+0 to answer.
