< just got home, dropping a few things off, showering, and then heading out again to take care of things. Feels like days are going extremely fast lately.

< still wonders why <‘s mom got a dog when < is incredibly scared of dogs.

< hates the concept of “surprise pets” as they can literally ruin your day, and the next 20 or so years of your life.

It's unfair to both parties, pets aren't toys, but a responsibility. <'s heart breaks to see the pets that get abandoned or neglected as a consequence of folks who don't get that.

It's a cheesy phrase but it rings true, "a pet is for life, not for Christmas"

They may not be able to talk like we do, but they have emotions and feelings like we do. And a heart. Generally, < thinks people should treat pets warmly and with kindness as they're a part of your family.
