Nope. When you win ranks, no matter the contest you can only ask for Rayman ranks. The reason we have Telletubby ranks is for "dunces".

In the end, I think we have the best possible Ting requirements. You change rank very quickly at first, and then as you make progress it becomes harder and takes longer to reach the next one. It's always good to reward every competitor, but only one will get the gold medal. Else what would be the point in a gold medal?

As for the potential incitation to spam, the overall quality of messages here leads me to think it's a non-issue, all the more because we have a great moderating team that works hard to keep the place clean and enjoyable for all.

Thanks for replying - When you break it down into percentages it doesn't sound too bad. - But let me put it this way, I have a medium-good score on Rayman 3 (360k +). If we round up my posts I've got about 1.5k. - I worked it out once that I'd need like 20k + posts to hit some of the top ranks. Do you really think that's a sensible boundary? It must take a good few years to get that many posts. In fairness you can post in games threads, but when it comes to decent content it's sure going to be hard. I've been a member of a forum for 7 years and I've been pretty active there and I've only got 14k posts!

I think the gold (as you describe it) should be more accessible. It's not like this forum is run by UbiSoft, there are no 'powers that be' so we may as well be more lax and let more people enjoy the higher ranks. What are we trying to prove?

I still think a lot of people are out of touch here because they've been members here for years and have earned all their tings, so it doesn't seem like a problem to them. With all due respect!
