I actually like Half-Life more than you, then, but yes. Platformers could be bad for some time, but know the FPSes are so generic...

Just like as I said before: FPSs are in fashion nowadays.

This is why it started to force me to buy consoles since the time when the PC still had plenty platformer games in the market was gone. (Today it is rare for me to buy a new PC game)

And the Platformer is my favourite genre, it shall not go into extinction.

In fact, a lot of genres could be considered "dead" by now. Not many A+ platformers lately? What about unrealistic racing games?

S***, if I think about it, the "generic" FPSes are almost always sorta realistic.

Mario is probably the one who keeps helping a lot to make the genre alive.

I hope Rayman Origins inspires other companies to keep making Platformers.

I used to have loads of PC games as a kid, that I am far too old for now. Playing on a PC was fun.
Indeed! why does everything have to be ''realistic''? Besides Rayman i'm a huge fan of the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. The game was fun because it was so unrealistic. Unfortunatly, you can't upload a single video to YouTube without getting comments saying that it should more realistic. Why is that so necessary? :mefiant:

Youtube in general just gives you shit no matter what you say.

I want this sentence to be in a hall of fame. Every word is so... true!

I think you'll agree that a new Crash Bandicoot platformer would be perfect for a return of the platformers :D
It was my childhood game (CB3: Warped) and I think it would inspire many companies. For example Rayman 2 is 3D because Ubisoft saw Crash Bandicoot and Rayman 3 may be 3D because Rayman 2 is...

All the Crash Bandicoot games post-Naughty Dog play and feel (and in some cases look) wrong. The hand-me-down developers have had four chances to match the PS1 games and they have failed each time. At this stage I would prefer if the series was abandoned.

I think Crash should have stopped after the PS2 arrival. From what I've heard about the games done by Sierra...

After 2003 (The same year R3 was released O_o) Crash Bandicoot was all shit with titans and stupid things.I'd want the series abandoned if they're gonna continue with titans and all that but not if the old platformers PS1-styled returned...

CB3 (1998) is EPIC! But after the PS2 arrival Crash Nitro Kart,Crash Bandicoot: The Warth of Cortex and Crash Twinsanity were still great games but after that they killed the series.I want CB return too...well,at least I will have Rayman again!

The three things that were sacred for me back in 90x were: Crash Bandicoot,Rayman and may sound weird but The Spice Girls too.About 2007 I was sad because Crash Bandicoot was a shitty game with titans and that didn0t resemble what I played in PSX,
Rayman was playing with the Rabbids xD and the Spice Girls...well...returned but just for a tour.So now I at least have Rayman, the first game I played ever :D

I've reuploaded the Rayman Animated series to Youtube; may as well while we all have at least 15 minutes of each video nowadays, the title cards are all in there as well I've just realised. I'm gonna put them in a playlist later if you guys want.

Thanks! Also, are you going to add them all to a playlist? That would be a really easy way for outsiders (and moi) to find the whole bunch of episodes. I can't wait to watch this again - I remember seeing the series as a kid and really loving it, but I simply can't remember for the life of me what it's even about!

You're in the UK aren't you? If you say you did see it as a kid, can you remember what channel is was on? Cause like, I had Sky with loads of kids channels in 2000 but I still never saw Rayman on them at all and because of that I felt the need to debunk claims that it was ever aired there.

I know it definitely aired on German TV 'cause I can remember a few friends making DA journals about it, and I've heard some people from Netherlands saying they saw it too.

And yes I'm gonna put it in a new playlist when I get a moment.

I should grab a real copy of the DVD anyday, I need it for my collection. I can remember seeing once a NTSC-VHS of the series for 120 american dollars in Amazon.

Amazon marketplaces will always sell things for ridiculous money if it's long out of print. The DVD should be a LOT less than that on eBay.

They must expect someone to give 120 american dollars for content that is uploaded in youtube.

120 dollars is outrageous!

If people are really willing to pay that amount of money to see me, I could probably get really rich by filming myself! :P

But I have no use for dollars or any other Earth currency here in the Glade of Dreams...
