was trying to turn the function keys off (so I'd have to press an F? key and the function key to use the primary function so I could just simply press Shift+F1 to generate a save state in an emulator, for example. Don't know why but the option disappeared when I checked the Bios setup so I had to update it. And it came back! Hooray!

Yes, I remember having to go into my mother's laptop's firmware settings just so she'd be able to press F5 to refresh. Surely that should be the default, or at least settable from the OS

I remember one time my friend actually said the Wi-Fi module in his laptop died, so he had to use a USB Wi-Fi dongle. Suddenly I just messaged him and asked do any of the buttons have a Wi-Fi symbol on them. He said yeah that F12 did. So I told him to just press Fn and F12. It connected to the internet again, and he got so confused.

So I asked did anything tell him to press F12. Apparently some game had a weird key combination of SHIFT + F12, and when he pressed this, he must have disabled the Wi-Fi.

I've seen cases where some people who use Wi-Fi on their desktop, and not even have an antenna connected. Then you question how they even used internet with their system.

They must literally have the router taped to the side of the computer.
