< has now caught up with almost all the RD posts, except for one particularly popular game topic in the Rayman subforum

Nope, it'll expire in a month, like any normal rank!

< is also due a Rayman 3 replay, < tends to play it annually, but <'s not gotten round to it this time. <'s also been playing with a HD texture pack, but it has been a while so < will also likely be looking at what offerings are current and see if < should swap things about.

< apparently hasn't played since 2023, and would want to do something about the sticky keys on their keyboard before attempting again. Even if < did, < would probably feel demotivated by the fact that < previously reached a 531k score and might struggle to do so again

< suggests ^ not to think about scoring and play casually! That's how < is able to play through multiple files. Rather ironic for < to say, but yes.

<'s also going to play through Rayman 3 at some point, though <'s currently still finishing up another game so that's on hold for a bit. <'s been stuck on this particular game for months. Mainly because <'s perfectionism keeps causing < to restart the game. Probably, like 10+ times?

<'s finally close to the end though, so don't want to jinx it!

< would find it difficult to play casually given how many times < has played the game. < knows the story, the cutscenes, the levels and the jokes so well…

Oh shoot, < just remembered < downloaded Havoc Reignited last night and needs to play it!

Haha < has actually done something similar in the past with Hoodcom, we did groupchats with us playing through Rayman 3 and 2. < had quite a bit of fun with it.

^^'s post reminds < of when < randomly jumped on to a VC where ^ and Hoodcom were playing R2, now that was fun.

<'s been enjoying R3 with the HD texture pack, although < felt obliged to swap in the old texture of the purple manual instead of the red one Murphy has in the HD remake. It just doesn't feel right without R1's happy little face

Yeah, < did something similar with R2 Revolution HD textures, < respects the texture modder for putting in the work, but < wasn't keen on the choice to add eyes to the Yellow Lums. Obviously these sorts of things are down to one's own interpretation, and < is glad modding has come as far as it has that swapping individual textures around is a cinch.

That reminds <, why on earth did they use multiple conflicting designs for red lums in R3? < would appreciate a R3 mod that adds the wings back to the wingless ones.

Bit of a hot take, but < actually kinda likes the redesign for the Red Lums in Rayman 3, < agrees the inconsistency is annoying, but if < were to chose a design, it'd be the atomic look over the winged look. Truth be told, < likes the idea of the lums having physical differences, rather than just differing colourations, it adds more weight to the idea that they serve differing purposes in the world.

Actually < quite likes the redesign too... Maybe adding wings to the orbital design would be a good compromise or maybe < is just too attached to R2's aesthetics.

Along those lines, < was also thinking of how a replacement of Murphy's voice lines with a voice that doesn't make < go , perhaps more in line with the breathy whisper he used to have, would make for a considerable improvement in the vibe of the first act. It's not even the jokes, they can stay, it's just that voice

What, ^ doesn't like the sarcastic jibes of Billy West?

Tbf, it's hard not to hear him just as Billy West, < doesn't mind it, but < knows it's a bit divisive. Honestly, < just wishes we had the ability to skip the cutscenes, < is VERY well aware how the scoring system works at this point, lemme get to it already!
