< would ask ^^ to revisit ^^'s assessment in a decade...cause < used to be able to do such things not so long ago

< would not enjoy sleeping on the floor. <'s scoliosis doesn't like certain things, and that may be one of them.

< remembers one time when < was younger, the heating wasn't working and we had a space heater. < laid in front of it on the floor and ended up napping for an hour...

The reason < can sleep on the floor is when < was young, we only had 2 good small mattresses and a shit one for <, and for <'s 2 siblings at our dads place. < would take the shitty mattress, because < wanted <'s siblings to sleep well. < remembers the mattress basically had no filling, so < was sleeping on the hardwood floor. Honestly, no wonder < is a people pleaser. < was sleeping on fucking hardwood floor 2 times every 2 weeks!

< remembers trying it the one time the A/C had issues upstairs, and < had the portable unit in the computer room. Not a fun experience, even with pillows as a makeshift bed.

< doesn't recall ever doing this specifically, but < does remember when <'s grandmother's house had no heating when < was a kid. < was just staying in <'s uncle's boxroom with him, with an electric heater plugged in. We thought it was so cold, that we brought bread and butter upstairs, and started making toast by holding the bread in front of the heater.

If only <'s brain was as developed as it is now, we could have just brought the toaster upstairs anyway, but maybe we just wanted to do it that way for the sake of it.

Sometimes the joy is not in the efficiency, but in the methodology. As odd as it is, < thinks there's something charmingly rustic about making toast over an electric heater, like roasting marshmallows over an open flame, but the less glamourous version.

It sounds like a rather fond memory for ^ though, something to be cherished?

< thinks it may be the case. < does remember that not everything was ideal over there, and < would have heating at <'s own house if < was there. < thinks it was probably the idea that < could do what < wanted when < stayed over at that house, while if < was at home, <'s dad was strict, and < only got so much time to play games etc.

< Wonders if Master even went to bed yet, or woke up before ^ even went to bed.

< thinks it would be funny if Master was literally getting up at midnight or 1AM while < hadn't slept.

Much as < wishes it were the case sometimes, < is not a nocturnal being...being a bit reckless with bedtimes? Yeah, < is more likely to be that.

< is enjoying having ^ around at this hour though. ^ has been one of <'s greatest friends < has made here.

< still remembers that ^^ and ^ were the first two here to ever ask < if < had Discord. < actually didn't, but only decided to make it because of being asked.

< is certainly glad that ^ got it, since < had great conversations with ^ a multitude of times.

< is also glad that < was convinced to get it. < has now had it escalate to the point of having to take care of Discord servers and everything. < also has a lot of fun conversations with ^ as well, even though < did have a couple years or so where < was far less active just about everywhere. < probably needs to talk to Master a little more often too, but maybe that can happen when these planned events come up.

^'s post made < realize that not everyone can sleep on the floor like < can.

< finds this fact very strange. but also < can do a lot of stuff people normally cant...

< used to be able to sleep on the floor when < was younger. These days though, < prefers something softer and less hard.

< is feeling real cranky. Something went wrong with mGBA and now the save states < used for Blazing Sword are not working and < has to overwrite them. This wouldn't bother < too much, except < was exploiting a glitch and now < has to do the entire map over again. On some other date, since < is not in the mood to play that game at this time.
