< thinks those go together.
< is collecting them FOR the retro os’. < grew up with vista, so < is very curious as to what older systems functioned like.

Everyone here has inspired < to start collecting retro computers.
But rn, < only has XP. < does want a 3.1 computer tho, but < believes those might be hard to come by..
< Says that for now, ^'s best bet for anything from the early Pentium II era or earlier is best with DOSBOX and 86box. Google up some tutorials and you'd be golden.

Wait, < can take a retro computer, and just download 3.1 onto it? :0
< is probably gonna do that, <‘s retro computer collection is probably just gonna be limited to laptops because the Xp computer < has is taking up <‘s desk.
Though, < should download 7 onto <‘s shitty computer. It was made in 2004 and forced to run 10. Seriously who sold that to
<‘s mom!?

< finds it hard to believe that a computer made in 2004 could run Windows 10, given that UEFI wasn't really a thing back then.
< points out that Windows 3.1 can run pretty well even on not-so-retro computers, even up to the 2010s!

Did they get rid of Legacy BIOS support with Windows 10? < would imagine it would've been phased out in one of the later updates, but not at Windows 10's original launch?
< will have to look that up.

< got the year wrong.
<s pc was made in 2008. It had a windows 7 installation disk inside. < can provide a picture.

< remembers that 10 could run on non-UEFI, though 11 became so fussy that it needs TPM.

Hmm… < has a recollection of Windows 8 already requiring EFI, but then < did run Windows 8 public betas on an old BIOS PC, so < doesn't know

< could be wrong then, but < is fairly sure that < remembers installing 10 on very old laptops without UEFI.

No < is probably wrong

Actually < is pretty sure < got mixed up and it's the other way around: Secure Boot UEFI required Windows 8 from the get-go, because Windows 7 was legacy-only! Sorry for the confusion

< is probably gonna run 7 on said computer. < knows RCP can run on it. So < will use it to mod games. < will also have to set up a new fire wall.. oh boy!

Ah secure boot right, that makes more sense. < is sure those machines were too old to even have secure boot.

<‘s giggling about <‘s
internet archive account rn.
< likes that it started with < uploading a bunch of Kandi and rave stuff, and then just devolved into random bullshit. < needs to archive more Matt rose videos.

< says may ^'s football bark, and that ^ may not sneeze onions.
Speaking of Football bark :
< most definitely does not cry because of chopped onions.
(It's for Flocktober 10. The theme is "Divine curse")

< thinks there’s better things to do than checking social media if ^ is that bored.
< prefers to play video games, watch videos, get fresh air outside, read a book, ride a bike (if < still had one), erc…

< just has trouble finding the motivation. That’s all. < has just been making Kandi and listening to rave CDs as of late.

< plugged in a PS2 and started playing Rayman 1 because < was bored, though someone may have influenced < to want to play it.. Someone is definitely influencing < to want to do things again.

< Didn't do anything productive today.
