Essentially yes, only real bugger is that it isn't a fluent transaction; you'd need to store the pokemon from one game then restart the app to switch games.

Not really, just a nuisance. The app reads in your game card which you wish to use so it doesn't, say let you say "Send this Pokemon to OR from X".

Yes quite. Trying to transfer Pokemon from Colosseum, or rather "trade" as there is no such thing as transfer to GBA. My game's now going to be filled with fresh Sootopolis magikarp.

I'm anxious to know the distribution details for Diancie.
I'll also be getting Ruby and start out with Treecko. He was my number one back in the day when I had Ruby.

No, 3DS emulation isn't a thing yet. You're out of options if you can't buy a console and the game itself at this point in time.
