I'm honestly fine with the Deadly Six - or at least Zazz and Zavok - since they don't really add or take away from anything when they show up. I'm never excited to see them return, but I never hate them when they show up either.

This is actually one of the few themes I don't mind from this Boost-formula bootleg!

Nah, never mind. As someone who actually likes a lot of the Sonic Forces soundtrack, even I'm not crazy enough to play the worst of that game's Classic tunes.

Instead, how about one from a game that nailed (or at the very least didn't do a bad job on) ALL of their Classic level themes?

Oh I do like Hideki Naganuma's work, not heard much of his Jet Set work, but his Sonic Rush soundtrack is amongst my favourite of the Sonic series.

On the topic of Sonic Rush, I noticed that when Water Palace came back as a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds track, the stage didn't use a remix of Back 2 Back for its music, instead using a completely original instrumental tune. This was probably due to legal reasons, since Hideki Naganuma left SEGA at some point and presumably took the Sonic Rush soundtrack with him, but I still would've liked to see them do some sort of remix of the song that still worked within the legal boundaries. Without some version of Back 2 Back, I was genuinely unsure if this was the same Water Palace from Sonic Rush or if it was a different one from a game that I didn't know about.

Anyway, here's a Back 2 Back remix from the game that revealed to me that Water Palace existed in the first place!

Still rather miffed that Sonic X Shadow Generations, which was advertised as "1 Ultimate Collection," didn't include the 3DS version's content... I know the console and 3DS versions were developed by completely different companies, but I still would have been overjoyed if they fully remade those levels and bosses and added them as DLC or something.

Yeah, one thing we can't take out of Pokémon is their soundtrack. It rules.
