< has been having an interesting Ash Wednesday… Work was exhausting, and the house is in the middle of having its windows redone. < came home to find everything covered in dust, and absolutely none of the rooms are done-done, meaning that nowhere in the house can be made properly comfortable until they come back tomorrow to finish the job

< literally forgot about it being this week. < missed out on pancake Tuesday now.

<'s wisdom : every day is pancake tuesday if you're willing to disregard the reality of the calendar.

< can agree with ^ on this. There is nothing wrong with having pancakes in the middle of the night, for example!

< received <'s new phone battery today, and a new cover for the phone as well since the old one was cracked and manky! < took out the old battery, and it really doesn't seem that swollen… Still, better to catch it early… 
A mischievous part of < wants to bring the old battery to work and disassemble it in one of the gloveboxes < is pretty sure that would be too risky though, since it contains a lot more active material and electrolyte than the research-scale cells we normally work on!
< was pretty sure < ordered a "moss green" phone cover, and yet received a "green" one Still cool though!

< wishes I could speak french so I could read L'Histoire de Rayman

< sees that ^ has not constructed ^'s sentence correctly. Will < need to report ^ to a member of staff?

< thinks it will be a good idea. < sees the badly-constructed words as a rookie mistake, so < doesn't think ^^'s reply should stay here for too long. But that's just <'s opinion.

< Will be trying to get some things resorted for <'s desk and the configuration of the audio components.

< has been editing a friend's short story he's entering for a fiction contest. He's good at writing meanings and such in his writing, but his grammar, word choice, and imagery are... Not great, to put it lightly. < has already spent a couple hours editing, and have only gotten through 2 pages... Out of 12. This'll take a while.

< wonders when ^ will need to have that finished!

It's due by Thursday, but < wants to finish editing the first draft by Tuesday so that <'s friend and < can talk over about the story and make some final changes. It's a LOT of work, but < is having enough fun with it!

< just landed in Dublin for work.
< would fain have extended <'s stay for a few days to visit the country and maybe meet up with some of our Irish folks, but sadly, <'s schedule won't allow it.

< wishes ^ safe travels for work, it is indeed a shame ^'s schedule is too packed to allow ^ a little break.
