If I had a nickel for each time a Generations game brought back a Heroes foe as the boss of the "Modern" era and gave them a remix that doesn't change much to the original, I'd have two nickels... Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Can't say I agree with that, since the MKW remix (which sounds perfect for a King Boo boss fight by the way) is what made me really like the song! The other versions are fine in my opinion, but not much more than that.

A good arrangement, but Purple Comet was never one of my preferred songs from Super Mario Galaxy. So how about one that is?

That's valid, I love the rush Purple Comet gives me. I really wish there were more Bowser Jr. fights in that game than just the one we had, cuz that's a good tune.

That's the big problem I have with this one. It sounds more like it should be in a King Boo boss fight in a modern Luigi's Mansion game (which maybe they could have incorporated in this game), but as a remix to this race track (which always gave me a much more spooky vibe than this) it doesn't really work for me.

Yeah, that makes sense. I agree that this remix of the song wouldn't work as well for the track it came from, but in terms of just the song itself I really like it.

How ironic that the Eggman event theme from that edgy game was called "Shut Your Mouth"

And that's indeed what I always thought for the SxSG version of What I'm Made Of, I'd rather have them play it safe with a legendary song that was already nearly perfect rather than risking a potentially underwhelming version!
