In all versions but the Wii U (and Vita?) you control both the player and Murfy at the same time, using a simple key command to have Murfy 'activate' things. It takes some getting used to, but it's not that bad. It's definitely a challenge in coordination.

Nope, you control both at the same time.

I am wondering about PS4 version though.

If memory serves if you're playing single player in the Wii U (and probably Vita) version, the game will switch you to Murfy at times while the main character becomes AI controlled, other versions go with the Murfy button commands.

I'm pretty sure the PS4 and Xbox One versions use the same scheme as the other non-touch versions, and while we're on that topic, anyone own those versions? Think we're going to need them for any extra wiki articles.
