I see there's some confusion here, which is probably my fault. Adsolution was talking about the Prison Ship, then I steered the topic to the Cave of Bad Dreams, since the Prison Ship discussion seemed to be resolved. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
No problem, rather, could you explain better also the Adsolution's doubt and this part:
and charged shots do only one points of damage

When attacking Mini-Janoes, even if you've accumulated before shooting, or have the gold fist equipped, the Mini-Jano will still only take the same amount of damage as it would with one normal shot.

As for the widescreen thing, I used to do that before, but the image is stretched, I think only the Dreamcast supported proper widescreen.

Ok, but also could you explain better to me the Adsolution's doubt?

I can't explain much about the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, seeing as I've never played it to completion, I'm assuming you're talking about the music from here: http://youtu.be/N7QM7tet2Vs?t=3h42m3s

All I can do is repeat what Ad said about it, seeing as my knowledge of the Dreamcast version is limited.

Yes, I was talking about this musical portion: http://youtu.be/N7QM7tet2Vs?t=3h42m3s that in Dreamcast version not always playing.
The rest was a different matter, just wanted to understand better this Ad's curiosity, then I will wait response from Ad.
Now that you bring this up, can I ask about the music for the mini Jano battle in COBD part 1? Having played this game countless times down through the years, the proper music has played only a very small number of times for me. I'm guessing it's to do with the way Rayman lands on the platform, but I'd like to know if someone can tell me for sure, because it's kind of frustrating.

I'm not sure what 'doubt' you're referring to, but I can confirm the following statements:

- The proper music for the mini-Jano battle doesn't always play, the whistling music from the beginning of the level will usually play instead.
- No matter what attack, non-charged, charged or golden fist, you use against the mini-Janos, they will all only do one point of damage.

If I were to guess why the music doesnt always play, I'd say it's something along the lines of Plum's guess, and it could also have something to do with the strangely terrible mono 11025hz encoding just pining not to be heard!

For "your doubt" I meant the musical sequence that not always playing in Dreamcast and PC versions during the mini-Janos battle. I also wonder why it happens!?

Listen here at 2:36 (DC version): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW54yDrKPCo or here at 4:13 (PC version): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ8GsMsWoA0

and now listen here from 1:47 (PSX version): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR3lV3MO4Cc ... starts immediately how N64 version.

But even if not always play in DC and PC versions, these same musical sequences are also present in these last two versions?

Also you know how to start play this other musical sequence: http://youtu.be/N7QM7tet2Vs?t=3h42m3s with more opportunities in the Dreamcast and PC versions?

If they play sometimes, then they're clearly present. As for why they don't play, maybe the music system was sloppily programmed, maybe they trigger when too much else is going on at once making it drop some things out, maybe the triggers are actually easy to miss somehow. I have literally zero idea, the only thing I'm able to use to answer any of these questions is a little bit of intuition mixed with complete guessing.

Nope.

It should always trigger in the PC version, it's always done so for me.
