I think this was mean from the admins of the page, they serously need to stop advertising Legends, nobody even cares about that game anymore... time for something new but nnnope.

Oh great, just what we needed, more cynical people.

It's all in good fun, I hope. One merely needs to know when to hit the hype train, and when to keep a level head.

Maybe Ubisoft is simply focusing on something else at the moment (which is legit, some franchises are working way better than Rayman for them at the moment).

That's some heavy bias you got there. The general public ain't tired of Legends at all. The only people I see who are fed up with it are fans who won't stop pestering about Rayman 4.

Sheeesh, the people complaining about the page's post really need to lighten the fuck up, to be blunt about it. Virtually every post they make has one person asking/nagging for a new Rayman game- I'd make the joke they did eventually. Either way, it was just some light humour and I can't see how the poster could have meant any sort of malice behind it.

Blimey, this R4 business really does tassle your tangerines. Personally, I admit I have my own hopes for the series, but even so, it's not in my power or anyone else's to enforce their own. That is up to the developers, and so long as Rayman doesn't come far under Ubi's own questionable tactics and retains the level of care Montpellier and all have given in the entries we've gotten, I'll maintain my respect and liking for the series.

I don't think even Microsoft could justify putting the number 4 on the next Rayman game, should there be one.

+1, and "tassle your tangerines" is one of the most brilliant phrases I've heard in a while.

It's not mine, it belongs to Brad, I probably should've put quotation marks there, he tends to use it when he's on the brink or surpassed the point of being annoyed.

Rayman 4 has two irks for me.

The minor one is the name. Why call it Rayman 4 when Origins and Legends are part of the main series and then calling the sixth main game "Rayman 4"? It makes no sense. Also almost no one names their games with numbers after the third game. Almost NO ONE!!!

The major irk is saying that Rayman 4 is the proper sequel to the last "main" Rayman game, which was Rayman 3. These butthurt, whiny fans just overlook RO/RL and that's kind of like having kids but two of them are different, so you just neglect them because they're 2D, even though the kid is 2D. Like WTF!?

Anyways I'm rambling about, it's just Rayman 4 links to those stupid complaints and I have no patience for that crap. RO/RL are great games and if you don't like them as much as the previous entries, that's fine. Just don't be an ass and say they ain't proper Rayman games.

If people want to ignore 2D games, the next 3D one should be Rayman 3. Oh wait, of course that wouldn't work! It can't be had both ways.

Also, that's interesting news about M$, good to know there's a bit of sanity coming on the scene over in Redmond.

I think one more UbiArt game would be fine. But it should be done entirely in 3D, maybe have the engine be capable of making open 3D games? A man can dream!

I wouldn't mind if they stuck with another 2D, but I think they should try the Twinsanity approach, where they apply the same core schematic, but in new scenarios and level design types.

I'd be pretty intrigued if UbiArt did manage 3D, but I feel it'd be better off if they stuck with a proper 3D engine if that's going to be the case. Guess time will tell.

A 3D open-world Rayman game was secretly in development in late 2013, planned for new-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One). But it has been cancelled, because Ubisoft thinks that players aren't interested to see Rayman on consoles anymore, after the low sales of Rayman Origins and Legends.

So it's sad, but I think that we shouldn't expect a new 3D Rayman game before a long time...
