I haven't played Rayman 2 yet to know what its score system is like, but I will get it soon, along with Rayman Gold.

Make up a minigame for a HoF? Not a bad idea to be honest.

OH! That's it! A Hall of Fame! Hunchman, you could have a Hall of Fame here at PC, maybe like one for Rayman & Rayman Gold and Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 and or 4. Not exactly like RZ's but simallar... though how would you keep people from cheating? Oh... screen shots could be used as proof.

Don't know. Then you'd be swamped with noobs asking how to take screenshots (they don't usually look at stickys).

Not a bad idea in retrospect, but execution would be difficult.

In order to finish Rayman 1, you need to free all electoons, so you can only have a 100% score when you finish the game.
The amount of yellow lums found in Rayman2 could be a good ranking system... but there would be no proof.

Proof can be taken from the RZ HOF, most members who join here will have joined RZ sometime. And I hope no cheats are around here

If Pirate-Community has a HoF, we could easily deal with cheats ourselves, unlike Ubisoft who doesn't seem to care whatsoever.

Though for anyone who scores really high, we might have to ask them for proof, so we can be sure they aren't cheats.

Well, some may have to use camera's if they have the game on a console system. Some screen shots can't be edited and some may could be edited. We also have to keep extreme attention to the screen shots.

Hunchman knows about the real score possibilities, 800000's yes, 900000 - 999999? Now that would be something not possible with out cheats.

You don't need a camera. Just press Print Screen on your keyboard, paste the image in MS Paint, upload it to a website (like Photobucket) and link it here.

It's the easiest method you can use without fumbling around with scanners.

What I am talking about is the games that people may have on the Nintendo or Playstation or Xbox systems on their TVs.

Oh. That'll be tricky since not everyone has a digital camera and/or scanner handy.

I say that there should be two seperate HoFs (like they have in R3). One for PC and one for consoles. High scores on PC would be easy to prove, but we have to leave console up to the admins' judgement.

True.

Yeah, though there could be an optional capture of the TV set, just a an option if they want to or can do it. Other then that, I have to agree with you on the part for the admins' judgement. Unless, Hunchman manages to get and setup a way for member to only have to enter the key code from the game, like how RZ does it.

PC could never do something like that, I'm afraid, the site is not linked with the game and doesn't have all the code settings.

Unless Hunchman can find it in the Hall of Fame's page coding.

I still just can't see that working. Besides, it sounds like a dangerous risk to the forum.

RaymanZone uses a PHP system, so we cannot know how the page is coded. But I could try to develop a script collecting information on RZ and submitting every score people would submit from PC...
I think a friendly ranking of members with Rayman 1 & 2 scores would be nice too.

Hoodcom wrote:Speaking of the point system, remember the Hall of Fame at Rayman Zone? I wonder is just how in the heck did some users reach up to the maximum number it can go up to, or almost that in the game? I've tried to get everything and more and more things in Rayman 3 and I never gotten past 300000 points! Some has like 999999! That number seems like someone used cheats in the game or something. o_O
That's because he did cheat...

The scoring/combo system was a more unique part of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. It added strategy and challenge. I don't think they'll take it away.

But they couldn't cheat into Rayman 3 which was already made. I mean, I don't think there are any cheats for R3. That leaves hacking into the RZ website.

Not into Rayman 3 itself...possibly hacking, and even a chance of entering random codes and somehow finding the code to it.

Hmm, that's a possibility...I never thought of that.

Well, anyways I would like the combo screen to look a bit flashier thAn the one in r3.
