Hmmm, maybe something simple, like a gradient... perhaps with some transparent pattern on it... You could put Mario-themed images in other places (like forum markers or the logo). Make sure all the text is visible and easy to read.

I will do that, but I am really crap at graphics so I would be no good at making markers and stuff. I can sort the background though.

On your forum why is there such a huge gap at the top, or is it just me.

That is space for the logo.

Well, I don't know. Although, sort of like, a color or certain colors, and what certain characters on the background. I can imagine how the skin could be, but I have to Do it to know. you know?

It still clashes a bit, though.
