I somehow have a feeling that BG&E2 won't be a Wii-title. Ubisoft seems to think the Wii is only good for party games and shovelware after all.

I hope the Rayman franchise doesn't end. It's come so far, and could go so much further.
If it wasn't for those stupid Rabbids, we could possible be playing Rayman 4 right now. Heck, maybe even Rayman 5!

I remember people were expecting a Rayman 4 in mid-2005... this was in year 2004, haha. Plans get changed and there's nothing we can do about that.

We'd be on R6 now, wouldn't we?

Rayman 6 would be released this year if one was made every two years. But then again that would mean each game would be horrendously crappy.

I hope Mr. Dark is in it. And if he is, his voice acting better be good. And if it is, his robe better be purplish blue. And if it is, he better have those balls dangling from his hat in EVERY shot of him. Cause in any game he's been in those balls disappear sometimes.

Damn right but I'm not sure he should have a voice... gotta keep him as mysterious as possible...

That depends on how many people were working on them, as well as who they were and how hard they worked. A game that takes two years to make isn't necessarily shit.

What I really dream about is splitting Rayman series into 2: "new sequel series" and "simple and a bit more similar remakes of everybody-loved sequels series". This would make me happy. However, dunno if there are enough Rayman fans on world to get it...

What...? You want remakes of the old Rayman games...?

No.
Imagine: there is a good game, Rayman 4. There are some people who absolutely LOVED it and want to see a very similar game, "a stand-alone add-on", being direct continuation of it in case of gameplay (a few new objects) and story, and fixing eventual "errors" in it (better multi-player mode, stage builder or whatever comes to your mind). But, there are also some people who, while liking R4, want true R5 - with some big new twists in gameplay, absolutely new enemies and story - generally, game not connected with R4 so much. What to do, then?
My answer is: 2 games.
Additional info: if R4-2 sells good, there could be R4-3 too. If R5 wouldn't be THAT good, there should be no R5-2, but directly R6.
Got my theory?

In my opinion a true Rayman game would introduce new villains and enemies, BUT have references to older ones so that the franchise games are inter-connected in some way...

rayman wont end dumbnuts, he'll life on forever, if if he ends, people will say "Hey remember rayman", so it isnt possible for rayman to end. (also... just to be clear, if rayman DOES end, i want him to leave in fashion... and maybe a funeral).

Well, I think Rayman can't end for two specific reasons:
1. Rayman is epicly awesome (sorry if I spelt epicly wrong)
and
2. If Rayman ends, what will happen to this forum?

It'll carry on just like any other forum about a cancelled product.

I still have hope. "Rabbids Go Home" might be Ubisoft's way of saying "Right. No more Rabbids games. Rayman 4, here we come!"
I hope it is.

Hehe that sounds appropriate. Once they go home, no more daah for a while. I heard that Ubisoft has started working on Rayman 4, let's hope so. And I would like a PC version too.
