Love the GBA version of RRR. That's what all versions of the game should have been like!
Yeah, too bad that the GBA version was rushed with some glitches. :(

It's a real shame the direction they took with RRR. I can agree about the GBA being rushed, and it feels quite short. I wish there were more levels because I do genuinely enjoy it.

RRR become a party-game because the developers know that the prototype version wouldn’t be finished in time. And honestly, i’m fine with. I better prefer having a party-game than a rushed Rayman 4. But we got a bit off-topic.

lol, did you know rayman raving rabbids was made in less than 4 months? they reused a lot of shit from the prototype rayman 4 and the party game was so short to make (timing wise) that they made the controls 2 weeks before the end of project

I think you're right, in a way. Due to the way the story was altered a little as well as some of the stages, I feel as though RR is in its own league away from the other games, similarly in a way that R2GBC is.

I must of been busy when this thread was going since I've never seen it. I already said this, but the Dreamcast version is still my favourite. I played Revolution after I bought the 10th anniversary pack recently. I like the idea of it and it is a good game, but there's a few reasons for me preferring the Dreamcast version. I think Rayman 2 is honestly a game where you should probably try each version because just like tea, not everyone likes it exactly the same ;)

One person may prefer Revolution while another likes the PS1 version more. This can be from nostalgia to just generally liking certain features more.

Just like tea where some people like no milk, some people have hardly any tea with their milk and some might even take like 4 sugars. It's all a matter of opinion :)

Well, to give further weight to that simile, I guess someone from up the north might sound like they're saying "Rayman Tea" when they say "Rayman Two".

I never thought of that Northern accent. That's a good one. Rayman Tea

I just recently finished Rayman Tea for PS1. I still have to finish Rayman Tea Revolution too though the slowdown....ugh.

At least you have the NTSC version. The PAL version has a way lower framerate overall and probably even more slowdowns.

I thought the PAL version was twice as fast as the NTSC version

It's the other way around on PS1 where the NTSC version is actually about 17% faster than the PAL version. Revolution is the same speed but has a different framerate. 25 for PAL and 30 for NTSC. The Dreamcast version can be 60Hz regardless of region and also 16:9. Which has me wondering why Revolution is only 4:3 and half the framerate of the Dreamcast.

The Dreamcast actually holds 60fps with the only drops being smoke or The Echoing Caves when you return to The Fairy Glade.

Well it was still a very interesting way the game was made, though things could have been better. Still turned out pretty alright.

Renderware is the reason it runs like that but then again it was made from scratch by a small team so the fact that it works is amazing
