I'd be more inclined to just call it a fake game over screen than an alternative ending, since the game doesn't actually end when you see the screen. My opinion on it is mainly just that it teaches people that greed isn't the right option, which is why it goes back and lets you choose what's right.

Yeah, I know that Rayman 2's Alternative Ending is just a non-standard game over...

At least it's absent in the PlayStation version and in the Game Boy Color version...

Well, it's time for me to finally put my input to this discussion. I literally just see it as a dream of Rayman's that feels like the game is over, and the outcome seems more of a lesson to kids to not be greedy and to think about what's right, which is helping his friend Clark.

And then the words 'Try Again!' will appear

That's like if you fall down between two buildings in the rooftop chase in BG&E (which is possible I believe)!

Yeah, but some people (like RockergirlBubblizer, a cybernaut with a mania to fatten or inflate the fictional characters who is the responsible of painting Rayman 2 Ending - Reprised) thought that this scene were real so they thought that Rayman likes... ugh... being more sedentary and live in an unhabited island with gold.
Well, in my opinion, Rayman 2's Alternative Ending is just a nightmare due to the fact it takes first in the Cave of Bad Dreams before switching to the stereotyped deserted island in the scene about the two options.

A nightmare does make more sense considering that the dream does take place in there.

I love that chase scene! I’ve never had that happen to me though lol. I think the music that plays when Jade runs out of energy is more chilling than Rayman’s ‘Try Again!!!’

Hello! I’m actually the artist responsible for that odd drawing lol It was just primarily an artwork that I did for fun for this silly interest that I have. I might have mistitled it or interpreted it in a way that I thought it was the real ending. I just think it’s a funny scene, and thought it would of been hilarious to do a drawing of it. I apologize if my artwork weirded you out. Even I don’t know why I still draw these pictures to begin with. I know it’s not for everyone. But hey, I appreciate the honesty. :)

I guess everyone has their own opinion. I haven't seen the art myself, but I don't find the alternative ending to be traumatising by any means. It's all in Rayman's mind anyway since saying "I want the treasure" only shows his vision (like an Easter Egg), then puts you back in the Cave of Bad Dreams to make the right choice.

Apology accepted. And I respect your opinion on Rayman 2's Alternative Ending, even your opinion on your drawing based on it.

P.S.: Since May 12, 2020, I already have the antithesis of my psychological trauma and that antithesis has no relation to Ubisoft, the Rayman series or even Rayman 2, but it is related to a subsidiary of a well-known American media group.

Yeah, I think this is a very personal interpretation that certainly doesn't apply to everyone!
