I think someone should make a Rayman series on Youtube/flash for fans to watch :3
It should be a 3D Movie tough. But we can work things out if we work together

If we all team up we might be able to make a good 3D Rayman movie :D

But we aren't even profesionals... I think we would utterly fail if we tried. We tried making a fangame in RZ not too long ago, but that seems to have been dropped too. The story line was good though. ;(

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

We can't even make a good game if we team up, let alone a feature length CGI film!

Overthinkers, they make me laugh.

No. I don't really believe there will be a Rayman movie. Wikipedia can be wrong in several different ways.
Even if it WERE true, I've gotta feeling it might be utterly stupid... If not... Well, then, screw me!

If they followed the R2 story and made it dark and mysterious and magical, though... :?

But not too dark. I wouldn't want it to become like Lord of the Rings. Rayman is a kid person. No bloodyness included D:

LOTR = the perfect level of darkness, IMO. Not too much blood or gore, but plenty of violence, darkness, evil and the like. I want Rayman with 12+ rating!

And seeing the Prison Ship, Hall of Doors, Precipice and so on in a big-budget CG movie would be amazing. And worth getting on Blu-ray.

That's because everybody stopped working on it  I can't make a fangame myself because my sprite- and music skills are not good enough (but i'm working on them :D).

If they were to make a Rayman movie, I'd rather like it to be a funny one, like the Ice Age, because the storyline of Rayman 2 can't really fit a serious plot.

I can call the police, if you want.

I don't think it's impossible for us to make a fangame. We have Droolie, remember. And i know JMaxVG, who is working on a great Rayman game right now. It could happen.

But with all this said, i think a Rayman movie would be great. But i don't think it's gonna happen.

If any of us even tried to make a script for a movie, Ubi would reject it straight away.

Alas all we can do is dream.

If there was to be a Rayman movie... I would want it to have the humor of the Rayman TV series, the magic of Rayman 1, the darkness of Rayman 3 (particually referring to DOTK), and, ofcourse, a storyline as good as that of Rayman 2. I also want all the characters from R2 to be comming. I think Razorbeard would make a perfect movie villain. He had character, unlike most other villains.

They can take away our games. They can take away our money. They can take away our heroes. BUT THEY CAN'T TAKE AWAY OUR DREAMS!

I think if a community aimed for a decent CGI short, we'd be able to pull it off. I think making an animated short is easier than making a game.

Exactly, the game broke apart because everybody stopped posting in the topic because we gained other interests, we became bored of it.

We'll get bored of trying to make a movie too.

Holy Crap: Yv actually helped advise the fan-game but didn't help work on it because he had his own fan game to work on and so does JMaxVG.
Their games are good but are not actually Team-games in general and they won't be able to help us make a game.

I don't think anybody here has that much CGI talent either (maybe Matyuv I think), and making an animated short isn't easier than making a game by the way.

Unless it's like Godzilla vs. Bambi or like 3 seconds.

It's still hard as hell.

A short has less components to it. You need story development, voice acting, character/BG designer, and animation.
A game has all that on top of coding knowledge, constant play testing to make sure it all works well, and level design.

I fail to see how a game is easier.

I'll give you an example.

If you think you can make Globox as an 3D object like here...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D62UmySl5K8
...I laugh at you. Very hard. In fact I don't even want to know what the hell they used to make only that.

On the other hand, when you make a sprite...
Image
All you really need, is Photoshop, Imageready, and some simple animation knowledge.

(DISCLAIMER: I made that sprite. It was supposed to be for the fangame, which got dissed after a month or two.)
