Have you checked the game compatibility with the emulator?

Sorry, I have no idea about the compatibility with the emulator.

I have a Spyro game for my Nintendo DS. But i don't really like it. I find that it has a very poor story line.

I used to love Spyro 3 for the PS1. I will find an ISO, I will...
Hoodcom wrote:I rather use my PS2 controller. I won't have to worry about any batteries then.
The PS3's controller doesn't use batteries; it has a sort of built-in power cell thing that you can recharge by connecting a USB cable (so if you were to plug a PS3 controller into a computer via USB cable, you wouldn't have to worry about batteries any more that you would if using a PS2 controller)
Hey, wait a second...how the hell did you connect a PS2 controller to a computer?!
@dingodile555: Try different plugins. Or BIOS. Or configure your plugins differently. Or do something else, like check compatibility.

Epic Failure.... Every ISO is STUPID OF SPYRO 3 *why* BECAUSE A STUPID LITTLE FAIRY COMES AND SAYS ITS A ILLEGAL COPY AND YOU LOSE DATA AND THEN YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN so we need a GOOD ISO

Which one? I'm guessing it's either The Eternal Night or Dawn of the Dragon.
Guys Spyro and Legend of Spyro are like two different things. Legend of Spyro has nothing to do with it really, just a generic fantasy game with Spyro thrown in to boost sales. Kind of like Rayman and Rabbids situation.

FINALLY!!!! someone who thinks like ME!!
You know... after Spyro 3 was made they sold the rights and those new crappy games came out!!
DON'T BUY THOSE THEYRE A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
The same happened to Crash Bandicoot.... and i think Rayman gets the same if Ubisoft doesn't stop with those stupid rabbits now.....

I in fact just got playing the old Insomniac Spyro games again recently. I can only praise all three of them to the skies. I think that "Enter the Dragonfly" on the PlayStation 2 deserved a little more credit, though. It may not have been up to the usual standard, but glitches and loading times aside, it was pretty fun.

Spyro : The eternal Night. It came with my Nintendo DS.

Ah right. I played that one and thought it was shit as well. I was thinking it'd be good because Amaze had developed the last two Spyro games on DS (which were both decent and played from an isometric viewpoint). But this one was in complete 3D, and bad 3D at that. But it's not too bad. Just boring so I stopped playing it.
As for A Hero's Tail I'd say that's definitely the best game in the series. It's faithful to the originals (despite tweaking some characters' personalities but I think they only made them more interesting) and mixed the old style with new elements, giving it a darker feel than before but still retaining that classic Spyro.

There are unusually strong parallels between Crash and Spyro:
Both were platforming characters. Both had excellent trilogies on the PS1. They were the first IPs created by Naughty Dog and Insomniac (probably the two most highly-regarded Sony studios of all). Spyro 1 and Crash 3 had playable demos of each other. Spyro 2 and Crash Bash had playable demos of each other. Spyro 3 and Crash Tag Team Racing had playable demos of each other. After making their trilogies, the Naughty Dog and Insomniac then sold the rights to vastly inferior studios, who continued to produce the games, while their original creators went on on to create two great adventure series for PS2, (Jak and Ratchet, both of whom had sidekicks who got PSP spin-offs of their own). Then they made more mature games for the PS3 (Resistance and Uncharted, both of which have sequels).
There are a few more parallels, but I'm tired of typing.

Tag Team Racing is the more recent (and quite horrible game).

I actually think Traveller's Tales did a good job with the Crash series. The Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity were both great games. I've not played Warped but in playing the first two crash games, I actually found they rather sucked.
It is interesting that the Crash and Spyro games have maintained their link even though they aren't both owned by Sony now.

Ah, okay. I just don't bother with spin-off racing games much tbh.

Wrath of Cortex is a CLONE of Warped. It brought absolutely nothing new to the series. As for Twinsanity...bleh. Fail @ freeroam platforming. Destruction of the series.

No they didn't.
They're orsum ffs.

There were plushies, cereal toys, and loads more promotional things they did together as well. Not to mention Crash and Spyro have always cameod in each others games (as well as the demos/trailers)
In Spyro 3 (Year of the Dragon) there is a minigame called Krash Kangaroo and an option to a riddle is 'bandicoot'.
In Spyro Season of Flame a trigger object makes the Aku Aku drumbeat sound effect (which I've yet to find since I recently got the game)
In Legend of Spyro A New Beginning on DS Crash can be seen in Dante's Freezer being roasted over a campfire.
In Legend of Spyro The Eternal Night Crash is hidden right underneath an icy pond in Celestial Caves (one of the best cameos
EVER)
In Crash Nitro Kart on GBA Spyro is an unlockable racer.
In Crash Twinsanity Spyro appears near the end of Ant Agony (last level) in a cutscene.
And of course there was Crash Fusion and Spyro Fusion (called Purple and Orange respectively in NTSC), two crossover games for GBA. I seem to be one of the only people who loved the crossover!
So yeah. The connection is still alive, I think, although the current developers for both series seemingly have no interest to continue it.

I can't believe I forgot about the Crash/Spyro Fusion games!
Also, there's an unlockable called "Ratchet and Clank Gun Courses" in Jak 3, but I'm not quite sure what it is.

Jak and Ratchet have cameo'd in each others games a lot as well, but I don't have any of them. I want the first Jak & Daxter so I can follow it thru
