Michel Ancel himself had said that in Rayman 4 ( back when it was still R4 and not RRR ), Rayman would team up with André to free Rayman's and Andrés girlfriends.

... Ly is wrong though. Wasn't there concept art of a female limbless, trapped by the rabbids?

That concept art really saddens me, because they basically just threw a load of good concepts out of the window.

Once again, the only potentially reliable information I have ever heard about Rayman 4 is that it was apparently in project, according to a friend of a friend. He did an internship at Ubi last year, and they were apparently planning something. Once again, I suspect he might have confused it with another rabbids game, even though my friend told me it was really Rayman 4 he was talking about.
Reliable or not, it's not getting us anywhere.

It's only the near beginning of the year and basically, anything can suddenly pop up out of nowhere later in the year, like when WarioWare: Myself was announced. It's just a matter of waiting.

If I remeber correctly, "the target of Rayman is freeing his girlfriend, his worst enemy's girlfriend, and... his worst enemy". Who actually said Andy is worst enemy of Rayman? It can even be something from another game, "stealing Ray's popularity". It can be somebody new. It can be Dark or Razor. You see?

Also, I think this is one of things that caused appearance of RRR. Here are the phases (theoretical):
1. Rayman versus the rabbids.
2. Rayman and "enemy" versus the rabbids.
3. Ancel realising that "enemy" should play another way.
4. Ancel's team receiving Wii dev-kits and finding more mini-games is "fun".
5. Team focuses on mini-games, leaving main part for later
6. Ancel finding that this came out of control, and transforms R4 into RRR (I mean, adventure game into party game)
7. Normal development of RRR

4-6 are wrong.
When they got the wii dev kits, they started finding ways they could add in motion controls into the game (for example Bunnies never close doors was going to be in a rabbid HQ during a stage). One of the devs found that these short segments could make the focus of a party game on their own. The dev (cant remember his name for the life of me) takes his idea to turn R4 into a party game to the higher ups at Ubi, they like it and greenlight RRR which takes R4's place. This is why Ancel only gets character design and 'based on' credits in the final product.
Thats when 7 happens, and then after that theres a non-Rayman related 8.
Ancel gets ticked (and reasonably so) that his project was pretty much stolen from him right from under his nose and demands that Ubi give him resources to fund preproduction for a new personal project and if Ubisoft greenlights it, they have to give him complete creative control. Otherwise, he'd leave the company. Considering Ancel is one of the company's biggest assets (he was one of the 3 or 4 game developers who got knighted along with Shigeru Miyamoto) Ubi really couldn't afford to lose him to some other company. Ubi may be dumb, but they're not mouth-frothingly retarded so they agreed. This personal project becomes Beyond Good and Evil 2 which was just recently officially greenlit.

I guess the reason he chose BG&E2 over R4 as his personal project was that he knew he'd get to make R4 eventually, but he'd never have another chance to make BG&E2.

@Stacey: When I went on that website years ago, I thought this was just Rayman dressed up like this for a Starwars gag. I wonder what her name is(also, her hair rocks).

I remember that there was a blog, on which some kind of dude posted different "leaks" of many games. He succesfuly pointed superbunny as Clark, and noted that there are some "erased script elements" or something which include character called Rebeca.

Rebeca? Doesn't seem like good name for Ray's girlfriend?
