If you didn't care about your score, and killing enemies was optional and didn't yield anything other than points...you wouldn't kill them. You'd just stroll through the game and feel very unsatisfied at the end.

But, thanks to cans, it wasn't optional, right? And there could be enemies which would instantly kill you if not fought.

When I played through, I killed all the enemies. I didn't really care much for the score, but I did kill them. I had to. They were annoying me. :)

I never even look at my scoreboard in Rayman 3. I just like to play it like R2. Kill all enemies but dont intentionally go looking for ways to boost my score.

EDIT: Sorry I didnt read page 2 until I had posted this so sorry for pretty much mirroring Shawns post.

My guess would be that they were created by the same spell as Dark Rayman.

The pasting is obvious on the second one, especially since I know the picture its pasted onto.

The Rayman 1 universe was basically just a test to see if Rayman himself would work in a game, so that they wouldn't have to waste characters if it didn't get a sequel. All concepts around it, INCLUDING the Great Protoon, may as well never have existed. And to be honest, I like the R2 universe a lot better.

In the "Rare Rayman Pictures" thread. It's kind of funny how no one noticed how completely off-topic my post was.

Of course they don't, I said earlier that they are mocks, when the nets were at an early age they were floating all over the place and were just used to illustrate it in previews and shit.

Well it's true. Why else would they take out every single character?

Because they had a better plot to come up with or something? They WERE going to return the original characters in the original idea for the sequel you know.

Which is why I've always questioned Spiral's opinion of the TV series.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if he doesn't like it...

I've always considered that a prequel, before Razorbeard ranks up, kidnaps Rayman, and start his pirate army. But why not Aeropolis is a different question.
