Combining spiraldoor's and StaceyW's theories, it looks like the Iron Mts. are in or near the Blue Mts.

I don't think so; the R2 and R3 locations are somewhat seperated from the R1 ones (limblessness; surreal landscapes etc.)

That's why I came to the conclusion that the R1 locations are on one of the islands in the bottom-left corner of the map.

Wait, when did I make a theory? My memory's gone. :V

Did anyone notice that the ghost Teensies have no arms? Or is it just me?

I thought they had arms of some description. Remember that one that gives you a green can? I think he had arms...

Well, maybe it's my memory, but wasn't it you who pointed out the valley from R1 in the map?

I believe that was me.

~By the way, what your signature says about plums isn't true; they are hallucinogenic. Press the picture-taking button while locked-on to one in R3, then press the Grimace button a couple of times and you'll see so.

This also explains why Livingstones look so out of it when they have plums on their heads.

Maybe they're a different kind of plum to the ones in R1 and R2 - they don't bounce. Moskito probably drank R1-plum juice at some stage.

It's more of a question of gameplay if you ask me. Plums are recurrent in the series, I don't see why they wouldn't be the same.

That was also me. I changed my mind about that, however, when a re-examination of the R1 map showed that it was impossible. I then decided that one of the islands off the south-west coast of the Glade was a more likely location for the R1 valley.

It could be anywhere. Theres no marshes in the Rayman 1 map, which suggests that the other rayman games (mainly revolution..2) took place just off the map.
