I'm a pro at making platformers in gm, back when there was only gm6, my dad got me a book that came with a copy of the full version of gm6 in it, and lots of tutorials how to add gravity, character jumping,shooting projectiles out of an object or player on a key hit..
try searching game maker tutorials on YouTube.
but your best bet is getting one of those how to program gm books, they are very easy to understand and usually come with a free full version of gm
I'll probably take a look at that.
And this does have gravity.

I have no idea how to make scripts, but i could be the mapper. (i could upload a mario level i made)

I'm sticking to 3D, because I can't seem to do 2D very well.

I'll make it, Game Maker and Rayman are my two favorite topics
I've been working with GM since v6.1, and I used GML (code) many times before. I've made a lot of games, mainly platformers (
Try my newest game).
Send me the .gmk file if you like, I could use the sprites.
