No, but D-fend reloaded sure is a good program for those who did not grow up using DOS and have never actually run Rayman in it's native Windows 95/DOS Window environment.

DOSBox is scary to most, especially how difficult it is with knowing how to properly mount your CD drive and hard drive, as well as configure sound. D-fend takes care of that by simple clicks within the edit menu for your program. Also Rayman, Forever, Gold, Collector, Learning games, etc. are all very fickle to get to run properly with sound. This is how the games always were when I had to load them over a decade ago.

But anyways, if the patch doesn't work, I'd recommend DOSBox. There's no native Windows versions. You can also try emulating the Jaguar, Saturn, or Playstation version if you ultimately cannot get the PC version to run.

One thing with running any first era Rayman games on PC within Dosbox, I've noticed it's easier to get the damn things to work by always starting from Install.bat on the CD and choosing "play game" rather than a Rayman.exe itself.
