Any news? I don't have a Facebook account(personal reasons). So I can't keep up. This is interesting though!

I may send him a message, but I don't think he wants his Facebook account to be invaded by thousands of fans so I won't send a friend request.

No, don't. He's probably fucking sick of hearing those kinds of questions, and he obviously can't give away information on a game which Ubisoft hasn't even announced yet.

We need to be very careful about how we approach this situation.

You can tell if he rejects you by going back to his profile. If it doesn't say 'request pending', but instead says 'add as friend' again, then he rejected you.

It still says request pending here, so he didn't reject my friend request... yet.

The tension is unbearable.

If he does accept the request, what will you do then? I think backing off and taking it easy for a few days might be a good idea, as the last thing you want to do is come across as a rabid/obsessive fan... And I think that the subjects of Rayman 4 and Beyond Good & Evil 2 should be avoided.

I added him as friend, and send a nice calm little message, so not like 'where's the next rayman and you are so great' just something like 'Hey Michel, I think you're a great game designer, your games are really cool. Would you please accept my friend invitation?'

Yeah, I'll probably do nothing for a couple of days. We'll see later. IF he accepts us.

I found him a few weeks ago and was also not sure if he is that or not. But the picture looks definitly like him.....the grimace...very familiar
I send him only a message like "hello, are you the guy who created rayman and BGE ?" but he didn't answered yet.

We are just going to have to sit here and wait for a response, other wise everything will go beyond haywire here.

I sent a friend request to David Wise a long time ago but he hasn't accepted or rejected it.

Haha I almost feel bad for poor Ancel. Maybe he feels bad rejecting friend requests from fans and needs thinking time.

You got to admit finding this was/is exciting.

Maybe he's not accepting requests because he doesn't want the fans taking over his facebook, but he's not rejecting them either because he doesn't want to come across as a douchebag? Leaving the requests in a perpetual state of limbo, if you will.

That's what I usually do when I don't want to accept someone on Facebook.
