impossible, even me, i have asthma, i can go 1 minutes and some seconds in the water, that you don't like water doesn't mean you will have a reduced breathing.

5 years on average :P

On a more serious note, my record was 1 minute and 20 seconds, that was 3 months ago when I tested it, so it might be slightly less or more now.

i believed that this post was abandoned :P

I dont have record.....
Im not able to hold my breath underwater longer than 30 seconds.
The funny thing is that if the water is hot (like the bathtub) I can without breathing more than a minute, thats weird :boon:

Just over a minute, but probably less if I was in a life-threatening situation.

You think drowning is...calm? It's only happened to me once, and I was pretty young, but if I remember anything about it, it involved lots of flailing of my limbs.

By the way, forty five seconds, and that's when I'm still. If it was a life threatening situation and I was moving...

Drowning IS calm heh. I've almost drowned a bunch.

I play a lot of wind instruments as well as sing mostly in the long, sustained note style, so I've built up my lungs a lot. My record is 3 minutes 5 seconds before I didn't have the strength to hold myself under anymore. :) I start to feel uncomfortable around 2:45, but I can manage to hold it longer.

I just hold my air in and do absolutely nothing. I don't move at all, sitting down. Sometimes it works much better than others though. I just think about my own little movies playing in my head while I'm underwater, and I don't even feel like I'm losing any air.

I have tested again, 1 minute and 7 seconds (But i didn't go underwater, i just holded my breath)

I know why some people here can't be much time, they don't relax, i did this:

-Taked a very deep breath
-Taked small breaths after these (That makes you feel a bit weird.)
-Relaxed and sat down.
-Closed my eyes and started thinking about nothing (If you think about air you're dead  )
-When i start feeling uncomfortable (Around 45 seconds), i don't move at all.
-When i can't do more, i just stop. (Doing that for more seconds may be dangerous, i'm Captain Obvious :P )

That's just the way to practice! And you just start building up more and more... and it expands lung capacity, correct?

I can't say that I have done this in a while but I'd say about a minute at the most.
