I see. Hmmm, if I ever shut up about wanting to get a PS3 and just go buy one already, I could always get that version.

I think Portal 2 has got the attention it deserved, and hopefully, it will have many DLC's.
If you think Portal is overrated, then have another good look at the CoD and Halo series.
Regards.

I am not a major fan of FPSs but I must say Portal pleased me, more thanks to the fact it mixes up with a platformer.

Please don't compare Halo and CoD.
Portal is not a FPS. It's rather a FPP.

Both Portal games are pretty awesome. That means pretty. And awesome. And deadly neurotoxin.
CONUNDRUM. What will be next, Narbacular Conundrumian Tatinek?
Game looks interesting.

Hear about the guy who proposed to his GF via custom Portal 2 levels?
Also, Conundrum does look quite interesting, I shall be keeping a close eye on it.

I've seen a number of these levels that have a marriage proposal at the end. Like this, and of course the one posted above. But I always have to wonder what would happen if the person just couldn't get through the level.

I'm sure only dedicated people who were probably experts would probably do something like this.

Sorry for Double-Posting, but I thought I should let out the news that Portal will be free to purchase until September 20th

I heard the first game was free for this weekend. :B
It is an amazing serie ^^ I should still continue Prelude, it has an interesting backstory, but the tests are hard as crap ;__;
I'd like to know, somebody have a theory about the whole Caroline/GLaDOS thing?
I personally think that...
Cave Jonhson said during the incendiary lemon speech that he wanted Caroline to replace him in the "SuperCPU thing" if he died. Some unused line showed that Caroline protested violently, so I guess that why she became a killing machine. :B
When she (GLaDOS) talked about "Deleting Caroline" at the end of P2, she must have been talking about the Human-Feelings she get while she had to help Chell and finally realise she was "her best friend all along", as I'm sure both Caroline and GLaDOS are the same person. :U
Okay, if somebody just understood what I said, I give him a cookie. ಠ_ಠ I feel like I screwed my explanation.

Nope, it kinda makes sense.
Anyway what is the date of that DLC being released?

I always thought it was some "dual-persona" thing, and that, over time, Caroline was lost in GLaDOS's memory, she regained this as a potato and supposedly deleted Caroline when in her old body, I'll be honest, I disagree, as "Want You Gone" has the following line:
Want You Gone wrote: She was a lot like you,
Maybe not quite as heavy
Now little Caroline is in here too
This was sung after she got rid of Chell, and thus, after she supposedly deleted Caroline, however, I could be wrong, GLaDOS is in her normal persona when testing in Co-Op, which is after the single player campaign.

*takes the cookie ta*
I somewhat aagree with this theory however there's a couple of odd bits I don't agree on. Firstly, you're saying that Caroline IS GLaDOS, so if GLaDOS deleted "Caroline" then that would mean that she's deleting herself? GLaDOS is far too arrogant to commit suicide (In terms of AI systems that would mean deleting her CPU drive) so it wouldn't seem right to say that she IS Caroline. I do beleive however that Caroline is inside GLaDOS, almost like a back up CPU or a core fitted into her mainframe. GLaD did say when she was a potato that she's been hearing voices all her life (which wouldn't of just been Wheatley the way she was talking, you saw it yourself in the first portal she had 4 cores, aka voices, attached to her).
To sum all that mess up Caroline and GLaDOS are 2 different people, Caroline is just like a core only fitted into GLaDOS internally other than externally.
Cudos to the person that understands this orz.

I thought that GLaDOS was Caroline, through and through. She just changed over time. Not to mention those personality cores that were added to her (the Anger Core seemed like a clever idea).

I think the Anger core was more an "emotion core". If it was angry when Chell took it, I think it was because GLaDOS herself was angry :B

Never played any of these games before. They do look pretty interest0
Well I'll agree with this. I was honestly expecting a lot more out of Portal, especially since it cost $20 for the computer in 2009. I was also expecting more from Portal 2 at its $60 release, and it seemed like a longer, slightly funnier and a bit more in depth version of Portal. Really not worth my money. I didn't even find the puzzles very interesting... I mean Portal 2 could have been made with the same quality in 4-5 months, I'd know.

GLaDOS was the only real reason I got into the games. Her humour and logic where just sheer brilliance. For a robot I sympathise with her a lot, she's gone through a lot, and she has feelings as well, so it's not like she's just shrugging it all off, well maybe she does but she isn't exactly heartless like that.
The puzzles themselves I thought were challenging, they weren't hard but it was annoying when you missed that portal friendly wall here and there. They could've been harder I do admit, but then again i'd like to see you try and think of something harder, maybe portal friendly walls everywhere would've made the rooms harder since you don't know where exactly to plae the portals but apart from that there isn't much you could do with it. I was amazed that Portal 2 managed to bring in more than just shoot portals on the walls and brought in new features such as all the gel.
Money wise it should've been cheaper if you're only in it for the gameplay.
