Haven't posted for quite a bit in the last few days have I? xDDD Like I said I'm still more of a lurker than a poster, whatever the website.

In any case, I figured I'd share my most recent Rayman piece (even if Rayman himself is nowhere to be seen xDDDD) that I finished this afternoon
To make a long description short it was simply me drawing my interpretation of what Betilla and Murfy looked like when Polokus first created them (any younger and they'dve just been little light orbs or something

)
To make it longer, I've had the idea in my head for a little while and I've already doodled quite a few sketches of them at this age, so I figured I'd do one of them at this age in color and- this is what happened. xDDD As far as their evolution is concerned, this is how I see them at their youngest ages- then they style Betilla has in Origins and the style Murfy has in Rayman 3 are what I see for them when they were teens/young adults (they kept the particular styles the longest so despite the games taking place at two totally different times I suspect both their looks would be the same during both periods) and the way I draw Murfy n' Betilla usually are how I see them at present day/their current ages, basically since Raving Rabbids TV Party took place and onwards. xDDDDDD It's a halfbaked explanation I know, but it's better than nothing.
Also the inspiration for Betilla's younger aged outfit is obvious, but the inspiration behind Murfy's I'll just let this little exerpt from the short story I keep putting off finishing explain it for ya:
"Murfy would be conceived a little ways later than Betilla, but he too served a similar purpose. He as well was a part of the Fairy Council, created to be a magical guardian of information. A "one volume encyclopedia" if you will. Inside his mind he protects all sorts of vital information about the world that they all live in, and acts as sort of a guide for others. He grew up alongside the Ludivs, small fairies that were copious in number among the council. Generally they had a dislike towards greenbottles, (the same fly-like species that Murfy was), due to the constant pranks they enjoyed to pull, often involving the stealing of their glasses. Murfy spent more time however with his head inside of books than he ever did with making crude jokes to pull on others, so the Ludivs could tolerate him much more. He does possess a few magical abilities that the fairies taught him while growing up, but most have been overshadowed and hardly used over the years, as his vast knowledge and wit have proven much more useful than anything he could do physically."
so that kinda gives away why I gave him the semi-feminine outfit and lil witch-like hat. >XDDD
Alright I'm done. :V
