Maybe they just thought a couple pirates would be more spooky than Murfy and a member of Globox's species? :P

Or maybe it's the opposite. Come to think of it, a dead Globox might have been a bit nightmare-fuelish! :P

Dead globoxes would've been very spooky, especially in the Dreamcast and PS2 versions, where you can see globox's family
It would've been cool if the globox species had a dark past

A Dark Globox or Glombrox statue maybe? But would it look any different from a regular Globox statue?

Dark Globox has a different body shape than Globox, in case of Glombrox the pose and the expressions could be malicious.

This is absolutely horrible and literally unwatchable (I tried twice, I can't even reach the five minute mark).

Does anyone know if an actual iceberg-explanation-video - or text, even better! - exists?

I agree, a summary would be more than welcome.

I know there are other Rayman iceberg videos (including some in spanish), but I haven't watched them, so I can't recommend any.

Doesn't the image in the first post of this topic explain most of the iceberg in text?

I forgot about that image, I guess that's the best thing we have at the moment, I just wished it was easier to read (maybe that's just me).

It's not just you, some of it is awkward indeed.

Also I just noticed that it says the Sex Bomb video's origins are a mystery. But I think that mystery's been solved more recently, right?

I was referring to the size of the text (can't see very well), but I also agree that some parts are awkward. About the Sex Bomb video I found this, however it seems that there was some confusion regarding if it was intended for Rayman 3 or not (I myself thought it was for R3 the first time I saw it).

Also, is there a reason to think that Master Kaag trapped the 3 animals (including the Xowar) that are in the secret room in The Tower of the Leptys? Why would a wanted poster of the Xowar still exist if Kaag has already captured him? Maybe if the wanted poster was crossed with an X, but it seems that the hoodlums where still looking for the Xowar before Rayman defeated Kaag.

I think I might start my own page for the Rayman Iceberg (with the entries I would personally want to be in there).

I see, there's still a bit of entropy out there (so to speak) regarding its true origin. Still, it's not a complete mystery, I'd say it's quite clear at this point that it was an official test animation from the early-to-mid 2000s.

Agreed, I don't think the Master Kaag could have anything to do with those cages in the Tower. They're simply too far away from each other. Actually, until now, I never gave much thought to the "canonical" reason for those creatures to be there. It always felt like a purely gameplay thing, since it's unlocked by having a very specific score, and the creatures were cut. But I suppose it is physically there, in the game, and Rayman can visit it, so maybe it is worth trying to explain…

On the wiki? Sounds good!

Yeah, that description from the image is not accurate, I'll have to update the text.

I didn't know about that truck, thanks for sharing, I've already added it to the wiki. About the Rayman M car, we really don't know much about it and to me it is not a very interesting thing to mention. My intention is to compile the things that I personally find amusing, interesting or worth mentioning; if I tried to add all the things that could be added, the iceberg image would end up being too large. I also would like to update the images that are on the right of each level. I kind of feel that it is too late to do this, but I think I'll end up doing it anyway.

Wasn't the Xowar originally supposed to be the boss of Clearleaf Forest? Those posters are just leftovers then. As for the secret room in the Tower of the Leptys, it's just a nice way the developers found of incorporating the models of otherwise completely scrapped creatures.
