It's impressive how much of a difference the gold fist makes with the chess pieces in the chessmaster boss fight, I should definitely have tried to keep it.

Reposting this here in case any of you are interested:
Oh, thanks for the share, Inzarcon! I'm definitely going to watch this, just gotta add this to my calendar because hey, small brain.
And welcome to this place, by the way!

I hope Glackum will won, because Ryemanni will add rubberbanding water to ReDesigner if Glackum's winning!

Um, what is rubberbanding water? Does it sing "Horse Outside" when Rayman jumps in it? XD

I have no idea either, anybody care to explain?

Actually, water is rising at constant speed.
Rubberbanding water is "water that speeds up if it falls too far behind" (Rye's quote).
Basically, if the player is too fast, the water will rise faster.
And if the player is too slow, the water will rise slower.
For example, Mosquito boss in ReDesigner has a rubberbanding behavior.
The idea is to apply this behavior to water

Thanks for the explanation! I guess that would be an interesting addition, and it's probably too cruel to have Glackum play Rayman Raving Rabbids anyway.

That makes a lot of sense actually!

I think the upper route in screen 1 isn't actually faster and there are still some rough edges in this run (pun semi-intended). Might try again for sub 2:20 tomorrow.

Indeed, this level is all about running directly through spikes and enemies. Interestingly enough, a lot of this probably wouldn't be possible in the original game, first because you don't have such crazy amounts of HP, but also because of the much reduced damage knockback that would otherwise send you flying backwards.

Nice shortcut in that last section! Now I gotta finish the game today so as not to get spoiled during tomorrow's race.

Good luck finishing it that fast! Where were you again?

Just at the beginning of Candy Château, but I doubt I'll finish the game in time now. It gets really hard at this point, and the new/different physics make the experience rather frustrating since your moves now have to be very precise.

Oh yeah, it's gonna take more than a day from there, I'd say.

Well, I made some progress tonight but I couldn't beat all of the hybrids Mr Dark sends at you so I'll have to call it day for now. The game is becoming rather unforgiving anyway so it might be more pleasant to watch from there.
Also, funny choice to have Mr Dark mix up his "minions" here (as opposed to him transforming into those hybrids like in the original game), yet there's still two mini-Space Mamas so I'm not too sure he where got the spare parts.

He has the power of the Protoon, he can conjure up as many spare parts as he needs!

So maybe they're all spare parts and this time it's neither a mixture nor a transformation, but a whole new abomination?
Anyway, the race is about to start, so it's time to get spoiled, I guess.
