Damn! Good ear. It is indeed a soundbite from that dude.
Don't you worry! The Main Theme has not gone anywhere :D It is pretty great, the composer for the fan game has done an incredible job so far. There are a lot of tracks I havent shared yet that are all top notch.

I forgot to post it
But here it is. I hope to see you all in 2022! :D

Brand new trailer:

Features a brand new look at some unseen levels, bossfights etc. And also previews a new villain who reigns over the Crafted Beach World.
Enjoy!

What is that teleporting blue guy? Also, I like how it says "(hopefully)" in small letters .

Looking good! Some sections remind me a lot of the Game Boy Color version. :D

Thank you very much everyone!
Best of luck with that late 2022 release!
Thank you, I'm going to try my absolute hardest. I really want to be working on new projects next year so gotta finish this one up before that.

Blue guy is a Robot Boss Fight, you'll need to get past him in order to continue the journey. He's a fun boss and there's a bit of inspo from the R2 PS1 henchman fights in there. And yes, hopefully this year... Just in case I somehow don't manage it.

Thank you very much! I'm using this to practice my pixel art, I think its getting better as I go, so I appreciate that :D

I'm sure you will over the coming weeks/months :D

I love the additions to the PS1 version so I can only approve. :)

Here we go, another couple of updates that I've posted in the past week or so. Firstly, we have a "Story Preview" screenshot.
Image

Polokus, the creator of the world, lives just above it in a place called The Dreamer's Boundary. A place where he can watch over his creation in peace, keeping it safe from Nightmares.

Secondly...

A preview of a level set in the Crafted Beach world that has Rayman exploring shipwrecked Pirate Ships. He'll need to avoid deadly enemies, ruthless sentries and lightning clouds to escape.

I hope you like these new updates. The game is still on track to release this year and I'm currently working out whether or not to do a second demo for SAGE 2022.

Thanks all :)

It looks awesome! ☺️ Maybe there will be zombie pirates in the shipwrecks?

It's nice to hear more about the backstory. Just curious though, is that a giant pencil on the shipwreck? :mefiant:

That's actually a really cool idea :D there wont be Zombie Pirates however there will be some rusty non-pirate enemies running about.

Yep that is a pencil, these ships crashed right into the Crafted Beach, so you might see some arts & crafts details around as you explore!

Hey, I've been posting like crazy! (Not really but here's another cool thing)

Another level showcase! This time it is of "The Monsoon" a level that has appeared in a couple of the trailers now. I expect you can get the idea of what it's about from the name :)

Check out the video! As always I'm happy to answer any questions - sorry if I reply slowly

Really cool stuff, I've always considered rising water a key staple of Rayman games. I also like how you've included the thorny liana from Rayman Junior.

Does anyone have any questions about the project at all? Can be anything really. I'm considering putting together a Q&A video if there are enough questions :)

If not, no worries! Development is progressing nightly - I'm still on track to hit my release goal as well. So that's good :D

I recently shared a very small preview of some of the new music, it's cracking - take a listen here:

Which official games will The Dreamer's Boundary draw inspiration from?
