It is. Of course, if Rayman had limbs it would limit the possibilities of his powers, but still... it's interesting to see him with limbs, I could never imagine it.THEdragon wrote:Cool!Cairnie wrote:My PC copy's up in the loft but I still have my PS1 ones, I might check those; if they're BIKs they can be played with RadTools then.![]()
And I'm sure many people think this image is cool...

Yeah, and his round body in that drawing makes the limbs look a little odd too. XDGreenbottle3 wrote:It is. Of course, if Rayman had limbs it would limit the possibilities of his powers, but still... it's interesting to see him with limbs, I could never imagine it.
His head appears to still be detached though!

Yeah, I wonder why he didn't have a neck in that original sketch?

Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
I always found it hard to draw necks.
Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
I must admit, when I try to imagine Rayman with a neck in that picture, it looks really wierd.
Also, look at all the hippie ranks in a row. XD

I feel something is wrong in that sentance....
Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
And also Mr. Dark the drug dealer.
Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
I don't think I can look at Rayman 1 the same way again.
Joe's tavern!
Also, one of the bestest screenshots from Rayman Activity Centre. I took it from a YouTube video though, so the quality is bad.
Maybe if we ask Electoon nicely, she'll upload a better quality screenshot for us!

If you look closely you'll notice that the musician and his wife actually switched shoes. Or feet. o_0
And why is she staring at the fire like that? D:

Also the lackey says "damn".Haruka wrote: - Antitoons cameo
- Voice acting (weaker than RR's one but still, I think the French voice cast is the best one)
- General level redesigns (the major one is at the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire)
- The Mask Guardians do speak with Rayman
- There's an extra cutscene of the Buccaneer, introducing Ninjaws
- Ninja Henchmen have a major role in the game
- Murfy does not appear, other Greenbottles appear (named as "Murphies") imprisoned in cages, aswell Ludivs and Minissauruses (named as "Denys")
Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
I read many comments in my walkthrough of people who get surprised/shocked when listening Spyglass saying that. I've always thought that "damn" is just a slang word. Or is it way more than that?
Well I remember an insolit thing, in the Portuguese dub of Digimon 1, I remember to listen a dialogue in an episode where a man was yelling, and he was saying a slang word. I found it insolit because knowing what was the audience target, I thought it was a little "too much".

"Damn" is a swear word, and the non-swearing equivalent would be "darn" or "dang." It's on about the same level as "oh shit" when compared to "oh rats."Haruka wrote:I read many comments in my walkthrough of people who get surprised/shocked when listening Spyglass saying that. Where do they say that?
Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
So that's why. I always considered it a normal slang word to "discharge rage", an interjection. Now that's indeed strange... I should see what Spyglass said in the French version.
EDIT: He says "Zut!". I believe it is "Heck!".

Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
‘Damn’ is an extremely mild curse word – you generally wouln’t hear it in a children’s TV programme, game or film, but in family entertainment (like The Simpsons) it’s quite common. ‘Shit’ is much stronger.

Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
That's true. In Europe it's probably not as bad as it is in North America. Over here it's considered coarse language, though while I was in Europe I heard it being used all the time, though it's still not suitable for a game like Rayman.
Blame da media.

You overlook the fact that Rayman is a European game.

Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
No, I was pointing out that I don't think, even in Europe, that 'damn' would be suitable for a game like Rayman. If it isn't too coarse for a learning game, it's definitely far out of place.spiraldoor wrote:You overlook the fact that Rayman is a European game.

Re: Cool Rayman Pictures
No, you’re greatly overestimating the offensiveness of the word ‘damn’, even by American standards. Your statement that ‘damn’ is on the same level as ‘shit’ is way off; try comparing the number of times both words are used in The Simpsons for a demonstration of their acceptability in mainstream American family entertainment. If the Spyglass Pirate said ‘Shit, I forgot to fill up the tank’, it would be ridiculously, laughably inappropriate, by anyone’s standards. ‘Damn, I forgot to fill up the tank’ is perfectly acceptable. Characters often talk like that in the Ratchet & Clank games, most of which have a 7+ PEGI rating.
