Again, as I said before, I think they specifically chose Legends because it was the easier choice to jump start a new version of the franchise. You've got Origins and the OG Legends which are the only mainline games with a consistent aesthetic, you remaster the first one, remake the second one to actually have a story, and the you build upon that. Maybe Legends Retold manages to finally sew the gap in lore between the classic trilogy and the UbiArt games, maybe they just cherry pick certain things from each game, maybe they don't do any of that and keep going forward without a clue of what could be next, but this clearly shows and intent to create a new style and feel to the franchise.

I've checked the minimum specs in Steam The fact that my laptop is 4y old and already is on the minimum has me sweating.

So they made a new map for the game... of course it doesn't add up with the others LOL.

As much as I think this remake is unnecessary, it does look kind of cool and it´s nice to have something Rayman again.
Out of the whole state of play, this is probably the thing that interests me the most.

I do still think it´s a very unnecessary game to remake though

Yeah, watching the gameplay, it´s really just Rayman Legends again. I´m not sure if I´ll buy this, I´ve already played the original

I'm sorry to say I still think it doesn't look great. While I do like the little details they added everywhere to the environment to make it feel more fleshed out, I know they could have done that without changing the art style. And I think they went a bit overboard, it looks very crowded and hard to read at times. Finally, it's a shame that we'll never see these new levels in the original, cleaner and superior art style.

Regardless of my very mixed feelings on Retold, I have to admit that Rayman Legends Retold + Origins Enhanced for $40 is a very good deal that's absolutely worth getting day 1. Though... I might not be getting it day 1 myself, because at the moment I still don't have a PS5 to play it on (and I don't play on PC).

Yeah I'm in the same boat. It's not my cup of tea in regards to what Rayman is. I haven't even seen Origins Enhanced Edition, but it better not look like the image I seen. That one seriously better have been AI.

What image? The leaks threat had some images from the Enhanced Edition, it looks exactly the same but without compressed textures so they look cleaner and crispier. Apparently they've also added the Vita collectables and I believe different difficulties with new types of hearts.

Honestly, I'm still on the fence here. Think I'll wait til after Oct 1st and see someone else play through the game before I decide on it.

I might take some form of interest in that one in that case, because I did enjoy playing Origins. It just has fun gameplay. I learned that the image above (unfortunately) was not AI, but I was thinking of some other image of the Rayman Origins cover art where it had a weird look to it. I assume that one was just AI for real though.
