Hi Guys! I just created my very first own Map. Would like to share the Map with you so you can tell me how you find it. Is there any Designer Map thread or something like this?

There is a Rayman Designer topic for user-created levels, but it isn't updated for centuries and I already forgot the topic name :oops2: .

It reminds me I should create more levels on it, since mines are super basic.

So apparently this is our level dump for now.
Here, have a level.
I've not done this before, so it's rather easy when compared to other maps, but I always like to have stuff I make get ever so slightly harder as a series progresses, but just so that it's not noticeable until you start dying over and over.

I'll record it later.
This should be the finished product. It's a Music level, so drop it into MUSIC.

While I'm here, how do you work gendoors and killdoors?

Gendoors and killdoors are activated by linking them to the event you want to have appear or to be removed. To do so I believe you press i and then drag them together using the mouse. Then right-click on the gendoor/killdoor to activate it. You can find more info on that here: http://rayman-fanpage.de/character/desm ... ordese.htm

Thinking this posted time and date, it seemed that the game was installed in Windows XP 2000, or 7 ? that are non MS-DOS OSs.
In case that, playing the game needs "DOSBox" for emulating MS-DOS under that you can run the game "Rayman Designer".

DOSbox current version is 0.74, here's the method I took in Windows 10 and maybe the same in other Non-MSDOS OSs;

Bump.

So this is the offical Rayman Designer topic. I may have some questions for this topic later since I want to try making my own stages sometime.

Hi!

I have a problem with the Mapper: After I select one of the Worlds to create a new Map, nothing really happens. I'm expecting a list of Maps, but... nothing.

I'm running the GOG version of Rayman Forever on Windows 10. I'm also using Rayman Plus but I don't think that matters, since it has no effect on the Mapper as far as I can tell.

If you guys need any more specifics to help me, please let me know :mryellow:

It's been years since I've tried to work with that software, but IIRC that can happen if you don't run Mapper as admin. Have you tried running it as administrator?

Has a ubi.ini file been created under RayKit/Ubisoft ?

It doesn't seem to work. What's interesting though is that the publisher is unknown. Wouldn't that be Ubisoft?

Yes, there's a ubi.ini file there.

Publisher is unknown because it's not signed. Not a big deal since it's an old app.
Can you show the contents of the file? Also, where is the Mapper file located? I think it's an issue with the relative paths. Running as admin won't help.

This is what's in the ubi.ini file:
[OSD]
Directory=C:\Dos\Raykit\ubisoft\osd
Valid=TRUE

[INSTALLED PRODUCTS]
RAYKIT

[RAYKIT]
SrcDataPath=\
Directory=C:\Dos\Raykit\
The Mapper.exe file is located in GOG Galaxy > Games > Rayman Forever > RayKit
