This really confused me, look at this E3 trailer for Barbara the barbarian for Rayman legends, it's IN 3D! At first, i thought it was going to be a 3D game, but then I realised, it's releasing in a few days, so no way...

but do you think it's possible? Is it maybe a hint that they're gonna make a new 3D rayman or was it just to show off engine / animation capabilities? I'm hoping we get a full 3D rayman soon, michel is "considering it"

edit: also, do you think the rayman and grand minimus models used in the trailer were BETA Rayman 4 models?

Ehm,excuse me,bur why did you create this thread?You could post it in "Future Rayman Games" thread.
Anyway,the CGI trailer was shown 2 months ago and it was obviously created to show the animation engine capabilities.
And the models are the Legends ones,in 3D.

Seeing as this topic is similar to this one we discussed back in February, I've merged the two, feel free to see what our thoughts were a few months back.

Anyways, didn't Michel Ancel say that another 3D Rayman game was being planned, and that it could be based on the Raving Rabbids prototype?

He sure did, but that was 2 years ago if I remember. Who knows what he wants to do now.

I hope he does, even though Origins and Legends are fantastic games, I've always preferred 3D Rayman. With Rayman 3 being my personal favorite in the series.

I pretty much like all of them ( lets not include the educational ones in there ) but the third game is also my favorite, followed closely by Legends.
Also, try to not double post, there is an edit button there for you to edit your last post instead.

I'd like to see a new 3D Rayman title. Maybe with the artstyle that the E3 2013 Legends trailer had since it was gorgeous.

back on the old as dirt subject , i'd love it if they took the R3 atmosphere (hoody rayman, and mauntain textures, snowboarding, ect) , R2's more varied platforming (bullet riding, sliding, stuff), and ubi-art doing up the graphics.

I think a blend of R3's action with a hint of Legends/Origins, and the platforming of Rayman 2, combined with the surrealistic worlds featured throughout the quintology, such as the Lands of the Livid Dead (both of 'em), to the Sanctuaries, to the great Picture City itself (c'mon, how many times does it take before it actually does make a reappearance? It missed out in the old R4, and in Origins!).

Also, I'm changing the topic title, it sounds a little awkward for my tastes.

I once had a dream where they released a trailer for a new 3D Rayman, where the Heart of The World got possessed or something and it made a lot of the trees and the other things in the environment act like monsters. I don't seeing remember a whole lot of gameplay, except for a thing where Rayman could grab onto far-away-things with both of his fists and pull them closer. (My memory of this dream was pretty vague, so I filled in the gaps with my imagination when I woke up.)

Forgive me but I didn't read through this topic before posting.
I really want another 3D Rayman game, just as long as it's as fun as 2 and 3, and has awesome worlds and art design, I'm cool with it.
That trailer for R4 was so promising... alas, no use dwelling on the past.
