Well orignaly rayman was french.

Rayman spoke English in Rayman 1

In my opinion, Rayman was like this. (Only an opinion)
Rayman1: 13 years old
Rayman2: 16
RaymanM: 17
Rayman3: 18 - 19

It seems some people see Rayman as a man, some as a kid.

But does he act like one?

I think that the only phrase we heard on Rayman1 from his voice was: No problem. Perhaps in Rayman2, Michel Ancel had to search a more serious voice for him. Maybe... Rayman wasn't need to speak on the first game.

Indeed it's possible, but we haven't even heard Rayman 4 yet.

Maybe the time is different in the Rayman's games, so 5 can be the equivalent of 10 or 13 ^^

Mhm, 5 sounded a little young for Rayman even in the first game. He rather looks like he's 10 or something o.o

I'd say 12, but it's hard to tell as he's not exactly 'human'. It's like judging a turtle.

And then he should make Rayman 5 a game where we get to know his past ^^ *If he makes Rayman 5, even though there is no signs that he won't... yet*

(This reminds me of that discussion I had in the RayENCYCLO French thread.) According to the Jaguar version, Rayman originally was a boy who was brought into the game "Hereitscool", and formed into Rayman. (This story is the reason why Ubisoft dropped it in all later versions and left Rayman mysterious.)

Well, at this moment, I think Rayman 4 is an adult. I don't know why. Maybe that's just different graphics, or he will always stay a teenager.
