Well, the traditional and still common usage of the word means to send something, but among internet crowds it's also gammered its secondary meaning.

Ehh, I've seen worse, some people seem to have the capability of making a second meaning out of everything.

Emmy, you do realise we're all joking, right? I would normally say you were always aware and were just playing along but you seem serious here. Personally, I don't fully understand shipping either, but in this case I could ship myself with you (though thats not usually how it works) and it wouldn't mean anything, it was just a topic created for record day for people to make fairly easy posts.

I only find shipping an issue when rabid fangirls start taking it far too seriously, especially when it comes to real life/internet people. And by "too seriously" I mean those who fetishize ships, as well as those who would break an arm and a leg to defend their OTP.
