Finnish here. But fuck, I want a complete DNA test on what kind of nationalities can be found in my blood. Though I do know that some of the earliest known people in my family tree were French.

French. Though, my great-grand parents from my mother side were italian, and my great-grand parents from my father side were german.

I was just giving Luxembourg as an example but yes, those are other examples too.

I'm a fairly even split between being German and Russian, and I'm also a bit British.

My ancestors were very involved in the war: My grandfather (German) was a high-ranking Nazi, who actually worked against them and freed a bunch of prisoners, granting him the title of a war hero; due to having one of his destroyed in the War, he now wears a glass eye. I recall when I was about nine or so, when I was at his apartment, the authorities came through the door, attempting to gain information from him. - My great-grandfather, his father, was also a veteran of World War I.

My great-grandmother (Russian, his wife's mother), was actually related to the Grand Duchess Anastasia. What form of relation I do not know, and whether it was through blood or not, it was a friendship at the very least. If it were through blood then, that means that I may have a very thin essence of Queen Victoria's blood running through my veins.

Me? I'm descended from eastern areas, but I'm not really too knowledgeable of my ancestry.
