I've heard of a fair amount of fan remake projects over the years, but I think this is the first fanmade remake of a 3D game I can think of from the top of my head. What gave y'all the confidence to go ahead with this project, cause I can imagine it must've felt like a significantly bigger undertaking.

Also, I suspect y'all have answered this already, but I haven't really been that active outside of checking out YouTube every now and then, which version of Rayman 2 are you using as a baseline? Do you intend to recreate any of the minigames at any point (like the Globox Village minigames, the Dreamcast DLC minigames like Invade, and Revolution's own extras with Glob Soccer and Dogfight?)

It's all passion for Rayman 2 and the Rayman franchise that makes us want to make this game. We love Rayman and want to give other people the same experience of playing Rayman 2 so we are remaking it and trying to make the best version out there!

Our baseline version that we are working from is the Dreamcast version, however we are taking ideas from every version and combining the best traits to make what we think is the best version possible. We definitely plan on including minigames and other extras, they're too great to leave out!

Thanks for answering, and I'll be honest, since I've first heard of this project it's been wonderful to see the enthusiasm you've all had. One more question now that I've thought of it. Is there any intent for modding or community level support, or am I thinking a little too far ahead there?

We've talked about it and it's definitely one of the things we would love to support. Since the project is built by community members, we would love nothing more than to have support for mods and custom levels so that the community can expand on our game and make their own creations. It's definitely a ways down the road before we can implement this stuff, but it's something we're thinking about!

I just want to say that I look forward to the game, and that everything that has been shown from it over time is nothing short of amazing. Definitely one of my most highly anticipated Rayman fangames. I wish you guys the best of luck with development!

Hey! Happy to answer your questions! For 1, we don't have an estimated release date currently. We are working on a demo for the game and then will be deciding things from there. For 2, we are taking the best aspects of each version of the game and combining them into our final version. We are aiming to stick as close to the original vision of Rayman 2 as possible while also slightly modernizing some aspects for the game. We're aiming for a nice balance that will please both new and old fans of the game!
