There was also brilliant attention to the backgrounds, especially if Ren had one of his 'episodes'. Those oil/watercoloured backgrounds were stunning.

Egoraptor actually kinda "emulated" John K's style in that Console vs PC vid!

Awesome animation style, its such a contrast to Family Guys dull animation. I actually remember reading about John K slating Family Guys animation somewhere, what a guy!

Egoraptor certainly has a very odd, but intriguing style of animation.

The charm of it is how the characters are drawn as fuckugly as possible. My style is mostly ugly, somewhat horrorish looking characters. I'm just really sick of cute anime girls or boys or kittens and plastic, sugary ponies.

I hate Family Guy, unfunny re-hashed humor every episode, bland jokes, etc.
The animation is so dull and boring, which makes it such an uninteresting show for me. I think American Dad is OKAY though, Cleveland Show just flat out sucks.

Ah I love Egoraptor, he is one of my favorite animators alongside Oney on Newgrounds.
Newgrounds is the website to get me so interested in learning Flash, I love there community of incredible animators, Egoraptor, Stamper, Oney, etc.
All really great people with great talent, these guys KNOW how to animate.

I really hate most Cartoons now-a-days. I guess Regular show is okay, Adventure time is alright, I don't see the MAJOR appeal, but it's alright. Newgrounds is now pretty much for my cartoon entertainment now, reason why I never watch TV anymore. And don't get me fucking started on the new AWFUL Simpsons episodes, the show use to be one of my favorites and how now stooped so low.

Yep, all true for me too. Do you know Tarboy on Newgrounds? That video is freakin' amazing, man. The-Swain's Mastermind series is pretty and hilarious too (and I think that's of the rare breed that gets better and better by the episode).
I admire the Last of the Dashkin by chluaid and the rest of that series for its astounding animation, sometimes. All worth checking out, if you don't know 'em yet.

I am very well aware who The-Swain is, though I still have yet to watch Tar-boy I missed out on that long ago, what is wrong with me?
Some other favorite animators of mine on newgrounds: Spazkidin3d and Speedosausage, a lot of there content is really explicit but freaking funny as hell.

I even have my own account on the website but only to make reviews.

Yeah never really saw the appeal of Family Guy. I still watch South Park and find alot of the new episodes pretty funny despite some people being the opposite, thats about it really in terms of contemporary cartoons for me. Though i watched one of the newer seasons of Futurama a year ago and it was pretty damn good, not quite on par with the originals series though.

South Park is great, I have not watched a lot of the new episodes so I can't judge those.
As for Futurama I also love that, but again have not watched the new episode for those, is Futurama off the air now? I forget.

I'd much rather see Futurama on the air than the new Simpsons episodes... dear god.

I honestly don't understand the "modurn kartuns suxx" stuff. Sure there are bad cartoons currently on air, but there is just as much good ones as forgettable ones. And young animation enthusiasts seem to be the future of cartoons and they want to improve the current status of TV animation. Cartoon Network is still the best with its originals, Disney Channel is starting to have a little more animation instead of sitcoms (Probably thanks to Gravity Falls) and Nickelodeon... ehh, Nickelodeon has Korra and the new TMNT, but otherwise they still have to get more interesting things on their network, which is kind of a desert at this moment. But I have my hopes for future.

Teen Titans GO is awful, ruined what I loved about the original series

Ekh, I don't care about Teen Titans at first place, but I can see why the Teen Titans Go isn't very good. From what I understand, the original one had some silly moments, but here they are exaggerated. Just because a show has some funny parts doesn't mean the successor should be completely comedic. But I don't like it either when fans are sending death threats to the people working on this.

One of the people behind Teen Titans, Derrick J. Wyatt, eventually was one of those behind one of my favourite incarnations of the Transformers cartoon: Transformers Animated.

Also I'm not saying Modern Cartoons suck, I just don't care for a big portion of them.

The last few seasons have been very hit-and-miss, one season having virtually every episode about some sort of supernatural conspiracy. However, the latest season that finished earlier this year was a massive redemption. I think it might be one of my favourite seasons in the entire show.

The thing with South Park is that, I have a hard time ever seeing it die for any other reason than poor writing. The show is a living piece of satire that survives off the existence of trends and popular culture, and as long as they have intelligent writers who understand those topics, the show will be as strong as ever.

I thought season 16 was great too, Cartman Finds love and pretty much all of the second half were classics.
