Now THAT's what I'm talkin about; shame the 3DS is region blocked!

Are you seriousStaceyW wrote:(...) shame the 3DS is region blocked!
That never happened before in the portable consoles of Nintendo.
Why this wasn't used on the PAL cover?

Re: Rayman 3D
I'm afraid so, and that just takes the piss because there are bound to be *some* games that won't come out in Europe, Australia etc; all the more reason for it to be hacked and I really hope someone does just that, or at least finds a workaround.
DSi enhanced games such as Rabbids Go Home are region blocked as well.

Re: Rayman 3D
Hey, new Rayman artwork. Looks like they took the PC cover, then made Rayman more cartoony and everything else more realistic. Strange and not very effective.
Re: Rayman 3D
I find this cover awful.
Re: Rayman 3D
In this cover, Rayman is ugly, okay. But it's cool to compare this with the original cover.
Re: Rayman 3D
I find the hair colour too much orange, and the hair pattern is inverted.YamiRayman wrote:In this cover, Rayman is ugly, okay. But it's cool to compare this with the original cover.
Despite of that I like everything else in the USA cover.

Re: Rayman 3D
3D mode for ages 7+? Why?
And yeah, that cover is pretty terrible. Which reminds me...
Notice how in this one, Jade looks more cartoony then Pey'j.

You mean too GINGER
Oh that's because apparently having the 3D mode on for too long can cause damage to the eyes of kids under 6...

Re: Rayman 3D
Studies reveal that it is not recommended for children with less than 7 years old to watch 3D content, since their sight isn't completely developed.El Dango wrote:3D mode for ages 7+? Why?

Legal reasons. Supposedly it has an effect on children’s eyesight (but not really).El Dango wrote:3D mode for ages 7+? Why?
I love the way European box art is almost always better than American box art.

It's probably going to damage everybody's eyesight anyway, but nobody is going to care.

No, that’s just Luddite scaremongering. Nobody’s eyes are going to be melted by the scary new technology.

Re: Rayman 3D
Haha, while that cover is ugly for having off model Rayman, I am delighted that Ubisoft actually paid someone to make a new damn cover for once. This is way more interesting than seeing the same Rayman 2 promotional artwork from 1998 continuously bastardized for rereleases a decade later.Haruka wrote:Oh god guys, have you seen already the USA version of Rayman 3D's cover?

Re: Rayman 3D
I kind of like it, but I think the expression is a little too askew.
Re: Rayman 3D
That is a mighty strange cover. Is Rayman's deformed cousin playable in Rayman 3d?
Re: Rayman 3D
The only objection I have about the cover is the hair colour and the wrong hair pattern. The rest is ok for me.syntheticgerbil wrote:Haha, while that cover is ugly for having off model Rayman, I am delighted that Ubisoft actually paid someone to make a new damn cover for once. But of course, I would love to see this one:

Re: Rayman 3D
Why are people all about the "wrong hair pattern?" The only time you ever see the two-split on the right side is in-game in the original second game. In all other places including Arena/M, cover art, and the animated series, it's the other way.
