Re: Rayman Merchandise
Well, I can officially say that I am also a proud owner of the highly coveted legendary life size Rayma...oh wait no I'm not.
So this past week I've been flipping tables up n' down trying to find ways to contact a seller who was selling the statue. The pest just wouldn't reply to any of my messages! So in the end I found someone who spoke French to help me out a bit. He said he would take the time to write a proper message to the seller. Well, he went beyond and actually called the seller. The seller turned out to be an >expletive< and simply stated in a rude manner that he would not ship to Canada and then hung up. That just annoys me so much. He didn't have the guts to reply to my messages and say that but instead he acted rude towards someone trying to help me out. Someone from his own country nonetheless! I feel like calling him up myself now.
Maybe I'm overreacting, cause this is all just fresh news to me but sheesh. I've been rejected many times from sellers in France and it sucked. But this one, this one hurts for sure considering someone else was also affected.
But if I look at the bright side of things, it means I probably saved about $400 or less this month. Wait how does that brighten things up? He was selling it for so cheap! Gahh!

lol Thanks! I'm back from work now, it was a busy day so I didn't get to think about what happened earlier today. But now when I'm thinking about it, it sure feels unusual. Makes me wonder why I'm collecting Rayman products and what not when someone who has possession of such a rare item acts that way. I spoke with the person who was helping me and he says he's fine and not phased at all but I feel like a line was crossed with the disrespect that was given.
I dunno, this was one bad experience that will definitely haunt me for a while. I hope I can rebound back with confidence when I find another Rayman item I'm missing for my collection.
Re: Rayman Merchandise
Well I found mine on the "German eBay" site. They ship to the us (most of the time) and have a lot better attitude.HappyHaunter wrote:that3Dguy wrote: That must have SUCKEDTake these 500 for the effort.

Yeah, I've been using France's equivalent of Craigslist a lot lately. There's a lot of great stuff there that pops up every now and then. Oh and I work at a Pharmacy.

Are you by any chance ForeignDzadzai on youtube? You seriously seem a lot like him in terms of collecting.HappyHaunter wrote:Yeah, I've been using France's equivalent of Craigslist a lot lately. There's a lot of great stuff there that pops up every now and then. Oh and I work at a Pharmacy.
Re: Rayman Merchandise
As much as that seems really unpleasant, would it be bad of me to say I'm not surprised either?
I don't really go that deep into international shops because...well, they're not meant to cater to international customers like that, at least the way I see it.
not to sound snarky, but $400 sounds super low, especially considering the additional shipping costs

Yeah that'd be me. Nice to meet you outside of Youtube and Facebook.Rayfist wrote: You seriously seem a lot like him in terms of collecting.
Well his asking price was around $134 and so I figured judging by how much shipping cost for the previous statue that was sold, $400 was pretty much the area the total price would have been. And I hear you on the whole international shops issue. But when it comes to Rayman items we pretty much have no choice but to snoop around those places.Eshap wrote:As much as that seems really unpleasant, would it be bad of me to say I'm not surprised either?

Nope. Back when Facebook was still new with their "Fan pages" or something, I noticed Rayman didn't have a page of his own. I took the initiative to build a Rayman page. People started pouring in. Then one day you came along and asked if I could post a mass message to the group in which I would share your video of your Rayman plush and so I posted it on the page for everyone to check out. Remember that? Good times.Rayfist wrote:

Wait, so you're ForeignDzadzai?
We once spoke on YouTube, regarding the collector's edition of RO, nice to see that you've also joined this community, way before I even did.

Wow, I've seen that statue go for double that amount- in pounds. o__o Whoever gets that statue will be quite the lucky person. I'm almost tempted to ask, despite what I said, since the UK is much closer...But with an attitude like that, it's unlikely I'll get a yes.HappyHaunter wrote:Yeah that'd be me. Re: Rayman Merchandise
I feel sorry about that, HappyHaunter.
If I remind well, the times I saw the statue being sold in eBay.fr, they were only accepting payment in hands, meaning that mail sending was not available.
