Rayman Pirate-Community

I have a hard time understanding what the Rayman 3 design has over the Origins/Legends design, really.

To me they are the same thing, its just the Origins/Legends looks too "happy" to my taste.

I like Modern Rayman the most (Rayman 3/Rayman Origins/Rayman Legends). I still really like Classic Rayman (Rayman 1/Rayman 2), but for some reason, I've always loved really cartoony characters with hoodies. The fact that Rayman is limbless makes the hoodie idea even more appealing to me (see ZeptoRay's sig up above - I really wish Rayman put his hood up in-game, might of been a cool unlockable skin in Rayman Legends!).

While I don't think there is much difference at all between the Rayman 3, and the Rayman Origins/Legends design, I can understand that people may prefer one over the other. In Rayman 3, his hood and straps have a more realistic, stitched up look, while he has a more simple, clean, and cartoony hood in Origins/Legends. And they made the hoodie strap purple, for some reason. :I

I've never been a big fan of the Rayman 1 style. I think 3 is the best, just because it's an improvement on R2 IMO.

Interesting that you placed RO design after R2 design despite RO being similar to R3 (your fav design).

Yeah but it's got a 2D feel to it and I think it's also the fact that I've got a connection with the R2 game

I personally think Rayman's look was it's best in Rayman 3. The Origins and Legends look grew on me, but still, overall, his design in the third game is great!

I'm not going to make a list but my ideal Rayman is Rayman with the head of Rayman 3, hair of Origins and chlotes from Rayman 2 (serously i miss his cute scarf and cool shoes)

2° Rayman
3° Rayman 3

Rayman 3 for me, it was when the series started to get a bit darker, and comical, so probably the most detailed rayman look.

Hmm, Omni's SmashRay design was so good, that I'm wondering if I'd take it over some of the pre-existing official designs of Rayman's past.

My one quibble with SmashRay (if that's what we're calling him) is that he appears to lack a torso. His hoodie... floats, empty. Oh, and the eye-plasma too. But it was a brilliant rendition nonetheless.

Pssh, it's hard to choose - I like the innocent bolshevik look of Rayman 2, but the head of hoodie!Rayman has nice proportions.

I was not aware Rayman was Communist.

The society in the Glade of Dreams that he fights to defend in R2 suggests he's certainly on the left of western politics, though clearly not Marxist.
But you don't have to be a communist to look as dapper as one!

Wow, boy! 47 votes for the R3 design? I thought I was the only one who loved that design
